I ended up knitting an infinity scarf using 4 skeaves(balls) of yarn that I had purchased from Walmart. When I had went to walmart, I had also found out that the knitting needles were cheaper there. They were like $2.50 at walmart instead of $5.00 on here.
My 11 year old is using these needs and having fun knitting his scarf. He's aiming to have it finished by December for winter. He's not a professional knitter by any means, but it looks like this pair of needles works well.
So, I speak with some authority when I say Susan Bates needles are a joy to knit with. The points are sharp enough to make knitting effortlessly accurate, they have the perfect amount of grip-to-slip, and the colors are nice.
Once, my young nephew said to me, as an aside , 'that looks fun. Those sound great and look comfortable to use.'
I love knitting, so I had to try them all, so I can say these are the best, or equal to the best.
