Dr. Susan M. Katz is Associate Professor of English at North Carolina State University where she has taught courses in business, technical, and professional communication. Since 2005, she has also served as Internship Coordinator, and in that capacity she has developed a Professional Internships course which helps students prepare for the job search process, identify their strengths, and consider a variety of potential career paths.
In addition to teaching the Professional Internships course, she has created a course for graduate students in English, creative writing, and technical communication which helps them expand their awareness of the role of writing and writers in the workplace.
Her work with interns inspired her to write her most recent book, Start Your Career: 5 Steps to Finding the Right Job after College, which will be released as an ebook by C&M Online Media on April 30th, 2013.
When not teaching or writing, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time gardening, quilting, and reading fiction.
