I neglected to take into account that 8 oz of breadcrumbs is actually quite a lot of breadflakes. I ordered this thinking I would use it up similar to the normal breadcrumbs. But panko is much less dense than normal crumbs. I've deep fried 2-3 chickens (deboned and cut into pieces) and am less than half way through 1 bag.

As far as the product it's self, it's good quality. Havent had any issues with it. It's panko, hard to mess it up.

This is the second time I've purchased a large quantity of panko. I use one and keep the others in the freezer. We got turned off with breaded meats such as pork chops, chicken, fish, etc. Regular breading soaks up the grease and the bottom was always soggy. After first trying panko to bread my meats, I won't go back to regular breading. Panko stays crispy throughout the entire baking or frying process, doesn't have its own peculiar flavor and makes garnishes a breeze...like a thin coating on mac and cheese. Sushi Chef Panko is not as expensive as some of the other brands and is every bit as good. This is a staple in my pantry. Give it a try; you'll be delighted, too.
