What a great product. I have two teenage daughters, one likes sushi, the other is a notoriously picky eater. I thought making sushi at home could mean fun in the kitchen together, playing with our food building our own sushi rolls with ingredients we like.
I scoured Amazon for sushi making products and there are kits that look very similar to this one but cost a lot less. Closer inspection of pictures and results show that saving a few bucks absolutely will not yield the stellar results you will achieve with the AYA set.
The plastic is sturdy and strong so you can tightly compress your rolls. It's easy to use, clean up is a snap and it comes with a carrying pouch for the pieces. I tried to put it all back into the box, but that was impossible. I felt like I was failing at a CIA IQ test for reassembling.
I can easily see that I may have to get another set so that we can be making multiple rolls at the same time. Plus when I have guests, we can have a build-your-own-sushi party.
I will try to post some pictures so you can see the kind of product you will turn out when using this. This is way better than wrapping a rolling matt with plastic and fussing so much. This takes the labor, stress and cursing out of the process of sushi-making.

That said, FF to today and I gotta say this is a pretty simple kit to use.
The most important thing to remember is the rice. Rice has to be just right or it can be a chore. Find a good recipe and stick w/ it... No pun intended. I'm still very much a beginner w/ this but my photo shows my first sushi made EVER. I was pleased.
**When I purchased this it arrived w/o a bamboo mat. So I contacted AyaSushi months after the fact to see if it was an error and really not expecting anything since so much time had passed.

They said the product had changed and now included the mat. When I bought mine it hadn't. So I figured oh well, I missed out... NO!! Not only did they say they'd send me a mat, they sent me the entire Bamboo Kit!! I don't think I've ever been treated so kindly by an Amazon affiliated company in my 20 years of shopping on Amazon. A simple mat would have been above and beyond... But the entire kit!!? WOW!

J'ai réussi à réaliser une bonne trentaine de sushis en 20 minutes dès la première utilisation. (Sans compter le temps de préparation du riz).
Les vidéos d'instructions peuvent paraître un peu "télé-achat", on se demande même si le produit fonctionne réellement avec la facilité dont la présentatrice prépare les sushis. Je peux le confirmer maintenant : ce n'est pas une arnaque !
Ce que j'ai aimé :
_ Les vidéos d'instructions sous-titrées en Français
_ La qualité du couteau à sushi (coupe vraiment bien, attention d'ailleurs car il y a un petit capuchon de protection au bout de la lame. Je pense qu'il aurait mérité un plus grand couvre couteau afin de couvrir toute la lame et non uniquement le bout pointu du couteau)
_ La simplicité d'utilisation : dès la première utilisation on sort des jolis sushis
_ Le moule à petits makis
Ce que j'ai moins aimé :
_ La taille du moule pour les sushis coeur. Le diamètre sort des gros sushis et il est difficile de mettre assez d'ingrédients à l'intérieur.
