The product presentation on the video will really get your attention and will encourage you to buy but actually its not the real deal. Its not easy to use. You need to put plastic wrap to the roller so thy the sushi rice will not stick on it and you can just do it in potrait of the sushi nori meaning the roll will be small and you can just make 8 cut on it. Well the sushi cutter is very hepful. The cutter is the one useful in this product especially to those who have business of making sushi because this will speed up your work it will take more time.

I like the idea. What I don't like is paying 2x the price through Gaffos. The manufacturers website offers this item for $39.99 USD. and the instructions included with the item direct you to the website for assembly and use instructions which includes the opportunity to purchase it from them. Not happy!

Alas, I can only rate a "5" if I could I would rate this machine "11" on a "10" scale
The instructions do not provide a recipe for the very important water, white vinegar, sugar mixture but that is trial and error to a certain extent

So, one thing to keep in mind is, have a paper towel with a little bit of oil on it (cooking oil, I use peanut). You'll need to slide it along the rolling bar every few sushi rolls, otherwise, the sushi will stick to it (this is for inside out rolls, though maybe useful generally).

Making inside out rolls is really easy with this. The mat on mine is tearing a bit in the corner, after a few years of use, but it still works. I never used the cutting tool, just a normal cutting board.

So much easier than bamboo mats. And wildly easier to clean.

I've been hand rolling sushi for a few years, but my rolls are not real consistent and rice on the outside of a roll trips me up. This sushi tool helps to keep the rice a consistent depth and smooth, then the rolling system helps you get the rolls nice and tight with lots of ingredients stuffed inside! Then, tight consistent rolls are easier to cut into consistent size pieces! My family thinks I'm a pro!

My wife and I enjoy eating sushi and with the pandemic we wanted to make it at home. We first bought the bamboo mat and it was very tricky to get that to work. A small clip broke off after the third use and the sheet on it has looked like it wants to tear in a couple places for a while now.

Once you understand how to use it (watch a video) it is very very easy to use and clean.

It makes very nice looking sushi rolls. Everyone was very impressed.

However, it takes up a fair amount of space when stored in the box, and is kinda unnecessary. It’s pretty good for figuring out how sushi works, and after the first couple times using it we found it a little easier to roll them without the machine.

It’s expensive for what it does.
