About Suzan Lauder
Saucy opinions like "The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has no pleasure in a good novel must be intolerably stupid." won Suzan Lauder, who thought, "I have to read more by this woman who writes with such snarky humour!" And another Jane Austen fanatic was captured in the clever dead author's net. As a lifetime member of JASNA, Austen figures prominently in Lauder's writing, and Pride and Prejudice has inspired all her published fiction. Her publisher is Meryton Press.
Lauder's latest book, "Schemes of Felicity" is a light novella that led the Meryton Press series "Skirmish and Scandal." Her novel "The Mist of Her Memory," a Regency romantic suspense and mystery novel, was rated a top book of 2019. Suzan's Regency romantic comedy "A Most Handsome Gentleman," nicknamed #HOTCollins, was among three reviewers' top-rated Jane Austen Fan Fiction books for 2017. Cover Wars Book of the Week and Amazon #1 bestseller "Letter from Ramsgate" was released in October 2016. It's a Regency romance with nail-biting drama. These books are teen-rated, aimed at anyone old enough to have enjoyed Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice." They followed Suzan's unique adult-rated Austen-inspired Regency romance with a mystery twist, "Alias Thomas Bennet," which was published in 2013. A chapter from "Alias Thomas Bennet was a finalist in the Sexy Scribbles contest under Historical Fiction in 2019. Her short modern romance "Delivery Boy" was featured in Meryton Press's 2015 Holiday anthology, "Then Comes Winter." The anthology was included on "Best of 2015" lists by three influential book review bloggers, and is suitable for readers of all ages.
Lauder's fascination with the Regency period inspired a creative blog series, the "Thrift Shop Regency Costume Experiment." Her blog series, "Learning from my Mistakes," shares writing tips gathered from experiences on her latest novel as well as her work as a beta editor for a number of self-published books including a popular Austen Variations author and her experience as a prolific Austenesque reader, both of published and unpublished fan fiction.
Lauder and Mr. Suze alternate homes in a Vancouver Island condominium overlooking the Salish sea and a small Spanish colonial house in Mexico purchased for the benefit of two rescue tabby cats, who supervise her projects.

. . . of most interest to Bennet was Mr. Darcy of Pemberley.
When Fitzwilliam Darcy attends the Meryton assembly, he befriends a quiet, intelligent gentleman. In frequent visits to his friend’s home, he becomes acquainted with the Bennet family of Longbourn. Yet Mr. Darcy is distracted by a strange feeling of having met some of them before.
This is a different Bennet family from the cleverly crafted one in Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. This Mr. Bennet is a responsible gentleman who takes an active role in the education and upbringing of all five of his daughters, manages Longbourn to be prosperous, and displays loving guidance toward Mrs. Bennet—a gentle, caring mother and wife.
There is a mystery lurking at Longbourn—a secret unknown even to Elizabeth Bennet—and Mr. Darcy is entangled in its extraordinary revelations.
Who is Thomas Bennet?
This book contains one brief scene of non‑explicit sexual violence that may be concerning to sensitive readers. The sexual violence does not include Elizabeth Bennet.

A month to find a mate!
Mr. Darcy desires marriage to Elizabeth Bennet, but he ruins any such prospect during his proposal at Hunsford. The resulting general sense of malaise interferes with his usually amicable yet stately demeanour, and his Fitzwilliam relatives resolve that Darcy is lonely-he must be in want of a wife. His cousins convince him to leap into the London Season for one month and partner every lady they select for his felicity.
At Longbourn, chaos erupts as Mr. Bennet undergoes a transformation, and Jane and Elizabeth receive the gift of a month in town to enjoy the Season. Meanwhile, Elizabeth pores over Mr. Darcy's Hunsford letter and wonders about him, warmed by his words.
It's only a matter of time before the two meet again in this Pride and Prejudice novella. But will their encounter be a repeat of the earlier disaster, or will they overcome their tenuous history? And can Elizabeth's credentials pass the stringent criteria of the scheming Fitzwilliam cousins who direct Darcy towards the single daughters of every peer of the realm?

Elizabeth Bennet’s life is uncomplicated until she meets a quartet of new men: the haughty but handsome Mr. Darcy, the pert-with-a-pout Mr. Bingley, the confident and captivating Mr. Wickham—and then there is her father’s cousin, the happy man towards whom almost every female eye has turned.
Mr. Collins is HOT—well, incredibly handsome in Regency‑speak—beautiful of face, fine of figure, elegant of air, his perfect clothing and hair matching his Greek god-like form. Unfortunately, when he opens his mouth, Elizabeth wishes he were mute. With affected servility and prideful self-conceit, he capitalizes upon his exquisite appearance and fixes on Jane Bennet as his bride.
Can Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy form an alliance to stop Jane’s suitors from issuing challenges—and will Elizabeth coax a smile from Mr. Darcy?
Bestselling Regency romance author Suzan Lauder delivers a hilarious Austenesque romance suitable for all readers of Pride & Prejudice.
