I have been playing a Suzuki M-37 “student” melodica for a few years. Just got the Pro. I primarily play Brazilian choro, samba and jazz standards. The most noticeable thing to me is that my friends that I play with all have commented “Did you get a new melodica? It sounds great.” That’s a great feeling.
My Pro has a very nice keyboard feel and is more in tune than any melodica I’ve played. There is a C# that sticks occasionally which is irritating… middle of the range.
I like the screw cap saliva drain… seems to allow the melodica to dry out better overnight.
The price seems a bit steep since the M-37 costs about 1/3 the price… but overall I’m glad I splurged.
