I cannot say for sure about this bag in particular, because I ordered another 5 pound bag of the multiflavor Swedish fish and believe me. They are absolutely delicious soft fresh. I can’t leave them alone. I am absolutely sure this bag will be the same way.. the delivery was amazingly fast and I was shocked by the size of the bag for some reason even though it said 5 pounds trust me it’s a lot of candy. best of all it’s fresh not hard or stale. with me getting candy and quantity this large is dangerous. I absolutely love Swedish fish, and when they come in as fresh as these ones did I can’t leave them alone I have taken to having to hide them in my spare bedroom so I don’t get into them in the middle of the night.! lol yes I would recommend you buy them. They are delicious.

I've had them for about a month and they've remained soft. I believe the special plastic bag they came in helps. Feels powdery without the residue. Highly recommend!
