Sweeney's Poison Moleworms
Looks and Feels Like Real Earthworms
Win the war on moles with Sweeney's Poison Moleworms. Moles eat almost 80% of their body weight in food each day, mostly earthworms, which is why Sweeney’s Poison Moleworms were developed to look and feel like the real thing. If you were to close your eyes and hold a Poison Moleworm and a real earthworm in each hand, you would find it hard to feel the difference. But don’t be fooled. Just fool the moles.
Kills Moles Quickly
The Moleworm is formulated to be very tasty to moles and when they consume the bait it swiftly kills them. Which means you can return your yard to its rightful suburban beauty sooner rather than later.
Easily Locate Active Tunnels and Effortless Application
Locating and placing the Poison Moleworms in active tunnels is key to successfully getting rid of moles in your yard. Use the 5 locator flags included in the Poison Moleworm package to help easily locate active tunnels. Revisit the marked tunnels after 24-48 hours. Tunnels that have had holes resealed are an indicator of mole activity and a good place to bait.
You will not find an easier way to use bait. Simply poke a hole that’s slightly larger than the diameter of the Moleworm in the roof of the active tunnel and drop the product in. Reseal with dirt, repeat every 5 to 10 feet, and relax. You are done.

Answers to frequently asked questions:
Q: I think my dog might have eaten a couple of Poison Moleworms. Should I be concerned?
A: Take your dog to your veterinarian and be sure to bring the product packaging with you. The active ingredient in Sweeney’s Poison Moleworms is Bromethalin. If ingested, it can cause potentially life-threatening signs in dogs and cats. Prompt, aggressive decontamination remains the most effective treatment. Management of any rodenticide toxicosis depends on the type and amount of bait ingested. Because a rodenticide’s active ingredient cannot be determined from the bait’s physical appearance, veterinary staff should identify the ingested rodenticide from the package’s label to ensure proper treatment.
Q: I placed Sweeney’s Poison Moleworms in my yard; why do I still have moles?
A: When treating a mole problem, you must place the bait in an active tunnel for your efforts to prove effective. To figure out if a tunnel is active, you need to flatten out all the runs in your yard. The following day you should notice that one runway has re-appeared. This is an indication that the tunnel is active and is where Sweeney’s Poison Moleworms should be placed.

But these do the trick, i recommend them, They Do Work. Here is a good tip. Use them with Real Worms, and a fishing hook / leader?
Make sure you wear plastic gloves to keep your scent off them. Take one Real Worm and one Poison Worm and hook them to the fishing leader.
Then put that down the mole hole. The leader makes it easy to check them if you stake the fishing line above ground. When i check back in 24 hrs, both real and fake works are eaten... I think the real worm gets them excited for more food. So that is my trick, works very good. But where there is one mole, there will be more so stay on them.
The Sweeny's worms are very gooey and soft as compared with the Talparid brand I've used in the past. It's hard to keep the worms clean when placing in the tunnels because any dirt that touches them sticks and the worm is covered in dirt...I wonder if this affects the attractiveness of the bait worm. I've also heard that you should not water for several days after placing the worms because they melt. I will continue to put the worms out because it has worked better than other methods I've used in the past. I've had moles on my property for the past thirty years when I moved here. The little bastards will probably be here long after I'm gone. Don't worry... have a beer.
The worms look like simple fishing bait. I followed the instructions and put them in active burrows. But I just can't tell if they are effective. I see other burrows and am not sure the worms were eaten and the mole died, or if it's just another mole tearing my lawn up. Who knows? I think these are good along with other mole repellent options -- not as a silver bullet remedy.
