Book Description

** This New Adult book is intended for readers over the age of 18 due to adult language, sexual content, and adult situations. **

Sometimes falling in love means going through the worst kind of hell.

A SWEET GIRL
Nicola Hart grew up under the heels of her older brother and his sexy best friend, Cash Garrison. Years of ignoring her spark with Cash has transformed their friendship into a slow burning sizzle. One night with him could ruin everything. Or it could be more than she ever dreamed. They play. They flirt. But they haven't crossed the line because too much is at stake. Family. Friendship. And the deepest kind of love that she'd have to be crazy to walk away from.

HE CAN'T STAY AWAY FROM
She's his best friend's little sister. The definition of hands off. Cash has tried to ignore her for years. Those innocent eyes and her smile that screams kiss-me-if-you-dare... Instead, he's looked at every pretty little thing who's crossed his path, all to ignore the girl he seems destined to want. But when his hard partying ways get old and everyone at school is interested in Nicola, it's time to stake a claim. To make Nicola his girl, no matter the risks, and hold the hand of the one he really loves.

Sweet Girl is the novel length prequel to USA Today best-selling Garrison's Creed. Before Cash and Nicola can fall in love forever, they have to suffer through their first love.

If you're a fan of the new adult genre, you'll like this. I don't, particularly, and skimmed the last quarter of the story. The book ends on a cliffhanger. If I had known that beforehand, I would not have downloaded the book.

This book was 5 stars for me until I got to the very end. It may have helped if a knew the premise of the series or even that it was part of a series. I honestly thought I was reading a New Adult college story and then the ending slammed me and I was most unhappy... I did not sign up for that plot twist and unfortunately it ruined the whole thing for me. I probably should have researched the series a bit more before I read this book.

This could have been such a good book but the author decided to drag it out to 2 or 3 books so after reading what should have been the first half of a good book I'm done. It just ended abruptly in a very unsatisfactory outcome. I will never know if h & H get back together because I refuse to go forward and buy the next book to MAYBE FIND out what happens.........or MAYBE the third book' Who knows???? Done with this author.

I am truly disappointed with this book. First and foremost, it is a cliffhanger, which wouldn't be such a bad thing if the description of the book had said so. I then could have avoided wasting my time on it. I now see other reviews that tell that Garrison's Creed was out first and this was supposed to be a prequel to that. Well then why doesn't the description say so? How on earth is a person supposed to know that if you don't tell them? Not everyone knows to look at the reviews before making a purchase. I thought the book seemed to be ending kind of quick without any resolution happening but just kept at it. If you are going to drag the story out over more than one book, or after writing a book decide to go back and write a 'prequel' to that book, tell the customers in the description. They deserve to know what they are purchasing.

Now, if this is the prequel to Garrison's Creed, then what the heck is the prequel Winter's Heat about? Talk about confusing the situation a bit. I'm really in doubt as to ever purchasing a book by this author again. How would I ever know if I was getting the beginning of a series cause they keep going back and writing prequels after the fact?! I wouldn't recommend this unless you have money to burn and time to waste.

There's nothing here that could distinguish it from an overused YA storyline: girl and boy have been best friends since childhood, but boy and girl can't have romantic relationship because... why, exactly? Well each is unsure that the other is attracted to him/her. Despite having palled around for what, 10 years or more? And of course boy's best male friend just happens to be girl's overprotective brother, they are both at the same college, and both fear brother's wrath if he discovers that sis is screwing his best male friend. So they carry on a forbidden relationship behind his back. Brother is clueless, and fails to pick up on all kinds of clues that they are "in a relationship." Males are both handsome beyond belief and girls throw themselves at them at frat parties, and naturally they have partaken of that bounty many times. Girl is sexually experienced, but just. Girl's girlfriends pick up on her hots for boy early on and offer sage advice. Guys and girls party and get drunk often. Oh, almost forgot the star quarterback, who's always involved somehow.

I could not find anything original in here. I couldn't finish it. It's not written well; the conversations are confusing and it's hard to figure out who or what the characters are talking about half the time. There was no plot, at least to the halfway point where I gave up, other than the forbidden lovers beating around the bush with each other and then fretting about their relationship being discovered.
Good thing it was free. You get what you pay for.

the story was predictable and a little mellow dramatic, but I was willing to overlook that, then came the cliffhanger, I DESPISE it when they don't warn you ahead of time, I may have chosen to read it anyway, but I may not have as I don't like being roped into buying bits and pieces of the story, I might get the next one, now that I'm curious as to what happens to the characters, but I won't be buying anything else from this author, because they didn't just come out and warn you it ends with a Major cliffhanger. Did I mention how much I dislike cliffhangers?

Titan is cementing itself as one of my all time favourite series. Action packed stories, full of hot alpha males, kick ass heroines, suspense and intrigue, and sweet, sweet loving. Who could ask for a better combination than that? Cristin Harbor certainly knows how to write a story that pulls you in, capturing your full attention until the last page is turned. She is a master at drawing on all your emotions, making you feel so much, Connected to the characters, invested in their story, attached to the outcome.

Sweet Girl takes us back to the burgeoning romantic relationship of Cash and Nicola. They had been friends for years but as Nicola gets set to celebrate her 20th birthday, true feelings bubble to the surface and Cash and Nicola embark on a beautiful love story. Knowing how Garrison's Creed starts, I knew how this would end but it wasn't like the usual spoiler for me, it actually enhanced my emotional investment in their story and I was once again drawn back into the world of Cash and Nicola. My heart swelled when they declared their love for each other, I felt every racing heartbeat, every kiss, saw every stolen glance.

Their first date showed the depth of Cash's feelings and what a romantic he really is, and if I didn't already adore this man, this would have been the clincher for me. Cash is so passionate, so heartfelt and so very lovable. Nicola is just as engaging, loyal to the end, strong and independent, yet tender and sweet, loving and caring. This has to be one of my favourite love storys and all time favourite couples.

Wide and bleary eyed, tearful and emotional, I finished this novella in the wee hours of the morning and immediately started reading Garrisons Creed, such was the hold that this pair has on me.
