Charley Abbott is a sassy, independent firecracker who keeps most everyone at bay. To even her family she is considered to be stubborn and a pain in their backside, but they love her fiercely. She has a side of her that few know about which remains hidden most of the time. She considers herself a serial dater and has no intention of changing that stereotype. The only man she hasn't dated in Butler, Vermont is her nemesis Tyler Westcott, and that's not for his lack of trying.
Tyler can see beyond Charley and her prickly self. He knows there is much more to this force of nature and is determined to break down her walls. But will she let him in, remains to be seen.
I absolutely loved this story and cannot wait for more in this incredible series! Well Done Marie!
I loved reading about Charley and Tyler, watching Tyler break down her walls and teaching her to love again! I loved reading about Hannah and her threats to Nolan to find Fred!! I feel like part of the family!
Thank you Marie for writing books that have been edited properly!! It is so nice to read books without errors and books that keep the storyline going. I am so looking forward to the next book!
Her detailed descriptions of all of these wonderful places makes you want to visit. And of her characters make you feel like you've known them forever, enough so, that you'll find yourself wishing that you were part of their families. And just like in all her other series, we get to re-visit with some of our favorite characters in the past books. I love Elmer and Linc's meddling, those two always make me laugh. The wild and foot-loose twins, Luke and Landon, are always good for a few laughs along the way. And of course we can't forget the towns mascot, Fred, who's done his share in the meddling business, too...
I must say that in the beginning Charley was not my favorite female characters, but she sort of grew on me as the story unfolded. She was sort of brassy, sassy, and had a feistiness about her. Even her own siblings were sort of scared of her, but I wouldn't really consider her a strong person. A strong person wouldn't have let some jerk from the past rule her present day life. A strong person would have shown that jerk the door, and then washed her hands of him completely and got on with her life.
Tyler on the other hand....WHEW!!!! I think he's every woman's fantasy dream come true. He's gorgeous, filthy rich, has a wonderful family, a beautiful house, he loves to cook, but most of all he has a heart of gold, and the patience of Job. What's not to like?
With all that said; I must admit that I did feel the strong chemistry between Tyler and Charley. In fact; it was off the charts...HOT!!!! It was also very passionate and intriguing. Can't wait to see what happens next.
On the abrasive side you might want to dig a little deeper
because you may find a womwn who is full of pain......
Charolette was a womwn who had been wronged and hurt
at a early age coming from a place that was good and running
Into a man who took her heart and destroyed it.
Tyler a man who had made a mark on the world but was a man who
wants to love and His love would be a forever kind of love. A man
Who really has a heart that can heal and a heart that wants Charolette
Charolette made me upset at time and there was times I wish Tyler
would just walk away but Marie Force knows how to bring the emotions
and each character out to where they need to be so that a beautiful
story is told. The added bonus is a place that has amazing characters
That you always want to here about and things are always more than
what they seem. That what makes a amazing series is when you get to
Read about past character and get to see what maybe coming with other
Characters as events unfold. I do want to say the match making of
Elmer and Linc just makes you giggle. Maybe them grandkids need
To do a little matching of their own .............. Elmer needs some company
