This is an enjoyable tale where memories of attitudes and behaviors impact current expectations. The characters are well developed, the chemistry between them volatile. A lovely quick read that is brilliant to escape into and a great addition to this highly entertaining Alaskan Hero series!  ~Splashes Into Books

This is my second book that I have read from this author. I love the quirks that are part of each of the characters. Lauren left Alaska to pursue her dreams of acting in LA. Trey had a crush on Lauren all throughout school, and so when she applies to cater his event when she moves back to Alaska, he promptly cancels the interview. Lauren manages to obtain an opportunity to plead her case to be his caterer. These two are wonderful together. I love that they both are so passionate about what they do. This is certainly a novella that deserved it's HEA. I look forward to seeing what Ms. Thomas has in store for readers down the road. 5/5 Cross posting to My Reading Reality

Trey Briggs is a one hot sexy hero who loves success. And he's had plenty of it except with his high school crush Lauren. Now that she's returned to their Alaskan hometown, Trey is ready to make an impression. Lauren may have overlooked Trey before but now she finds herself needing him in so many ways. Full of great small town Alaska details. Fun read!

What a delightful second chance romance in this Alaskan novella in the An Alaskan Hero series!

Cousin of the the Forresters who featured in the first book in the series, Trey Briggs has done very well for himself. He was a slight, bright but very quiet and spotty student in high school, secretly totally enamoured with Lauren Kinkade. When she did notice him, asking for his help with Maths, he was too self conscious to do anything but admire her from afar. After High School she left their Alaskan town to unsuccessfully seek fame and fortune as an actress in LA whilst he stayed, becoming a highly successful business man.

Now her grandmother’s death and Lauren’s inheriting of the bakery has brought Lauren back to her home town. Trey is about to reopen a historic hotel in the town and Lauren hopes doing the catering for such a prominent event will help invigorate her business - but only if she can convince Trey to give her the job. Trey, however, is wary of even giving her an interview - he’d rather not see her again.

This is an enjoyable tale where memories of attitudes and behaviours impact on current expectations. The characters are well developed, the chemistry between them volatile and it is only now, as adults, they stand a chance of achieving their HEA together though whether or not that is possible will ultimately depend on whether they want happiness together or if their location is more important.

A lovely quick read that is brilliant to escape into and a great addition to this highly entertaining Alaskan series!

I loved this fast paced romance!!
Lauren was originally from Alaska but had big dreams, so she moved to LA. But that just didn't seem to pan out and then her grandma passed away and left her the bakery. Now Lauren is back in Alaska but feels like an outsider with one shot at making a name for herself and bringing the bakery back. That shot is from the awkward comic loving kid from high school Trey. Except Trey is no longer awkward but sexy hot Alaskan man and he is re-opening a hotel that just happens to need a great caterer to host his grand opening. Can she make this work?!?!
Trey has never left Alaska and even though he is a grown man the awkward comic loving boy still lurks underneath it all. So when he realizes the girl he had the biggest crush on in high school is back and he has to interview her, he realizes he can't do it. Or can he?!?!
I just love how this all came together. I especially love the Alaskacon. This book was full of charm, wit, and romance. Must read!!

**Thank you Rebecca for graciously allowing me to read this book as an ARC. In return I gave my honest review**

After reading book one of Right Kind of Mistake, I was really looking forward to read something else by Rebecca Thomas, which is why I'm extremely happy that I was able to get my hands on an ARC of this novella. Sweet Home Alaska was a really quick and cute contemporary romance read.

This book was just an all around nice read. The only issue that I had with this book was that I really wish that we could have seen a lot more of Trey and Lauren as a couple. A lot of their relationship was kind of glossed over not allowing me to become truly invested in their love story which was a big problem for me because what makes a great romance for me is being able to really immerse myself in the love story and I just wasn't able to that in this story. Despite that this story was still a pretty enjoyable read and I'm looking forward to reading more by Rebecca Thomas.
