So far, I've read:
Orchids and Hurricane Kisses by Stacy Eaton.....5+ Stars
Destiny,(according to Webster)…..the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate .
This is one of those stories that had me glued to my Kindle until it was finished. It is sunshine, humor, inspiration, emotional, heart wrenching and romantic all rolled into one amazing story. There is one part that I had to actually stop reading for a minute to prepare myself for what might happen, but I held my breath and read on. So amazing…..
Rye goes on his honeymoon alone after leaving a woman that cheated on him.
Amy is a divorced woman with a young child who goes on a trip to get an interview for her job.
Destiny/Fate has brought them together for several reasons. (no spoilers here)
I just couldn’t get enough and I loved every character, every twist and surprise and I would highly recommend this story . Warning: Have your tissues ready ! After reading the last page I had to sit and just savor the story. I love this series and a few of the characters from previous books make an appearance too. I look forward to the next book to see what this author has in store for us. I know it will be excellent.
Sweetheart Cove by Jacquie Biggar....5 Stars
Jake is raising his handicapped daughter alone and needed someone to help with her care. Josie isn’t quite what he expected to show up. When she proves she is an excellent therapist, he decides to give her a chance.
Jane , his daughter, is a sweetheart and Mischief the puppy is adorable too. You can’t help but cheer for all of them to find happiness together. I felt so connected to the main characters that I actually found myself thinking about them when finished with the story.
I didn’t want the story to end . It was a quick read but it wasn't missing anything. It was well written and had me anxiously turning pages to see what happened next. I look forward to the next book in the series .
Now, on to the rest of the set and read more of these great stories.
Rye decided to take his honeymoon by himself after it was revealed on his wedding day that his fiancé was pregnant with another mans child.
Amy was sent to the Caribbean Island, to fill in for another reporter, to write an article on a famous chef. In doing so she had to leave behind her sick daughter, that was on a transplant list. Things were not going as planned. Amy’s luggage was lost between the airport and the hotel, with her passport and the chef that she was supposed to interview had been called out of town. A hurricane was bearing down on the island and Amy was helpless to get off without her passport. So why not drown her sorrows in alcohol?
Rye was planning on drowning his problems in alcohol and headed out to the beach to do just that. As Rye and Amy start talking, they discover a passion that is as intense as the hurricane that is approaching. After spending two days together, Rye discovers that he is indeed in love with Amy, but Amy claims that they can not see each other when they leave the island and in fact she disappears while Rye is sleeping.
Amy’s life is complicated, with her daughter’s illness, but how she wishes that she could lean on Rye.
Without giving you any spoilers, life for Rye and Amy take a lot of twist and turns and they do find each other again. It is a wonderful story, one that I think you will love.
