This book give the heroine such depth. You can literally feel what it would be like to be in her shoes as she begins this path to self discovery. Is it easy for her? Hello no it isn't. She stumbles, trips, and has some major falls on her way. Things that make you understand and love her more. Things that make you want to shake her. Things that make you want to hug her. This book, and Amy Knupp's talented writing take you on this walk with the heroine. It's deeper than you first expect and definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. I literally couldn't put it down! (We're talking opened the book Monday morning and here it is Tuesday morning...no sleep for me because it taunted me every time I set down my Kindle!) It's definitely a winner.

Kennedy is a hot mess due to her past. Her last relationship ended very badly and that has made her lack self confidence in everything. Kennedy has spent that last 2 years wallowing in her past but has 2 new friends/roommates (Violet and Ivy) and their new bakery on Hale St. (Sugar Babies) that needs her marketing expertise. Hunter has just taken over as the owner of Calloway's on the Corner, his family's bar on Hale St. Kennedy works as one of his bartenders in addition to her work for the bakery. They have been dancing around each other for a while each thinking the other is not interested. A single kiss changes everything. Enter their mutual group of friends and love is in the air. I fell in love with Kennedy and Hunter as well as their friends. This author created such depth in her characters that I felt like I was a part of the group with them. This story made me laugh, cry, and sigh contentedly as Kennedy and Hunter work their way to a HEA. There are so many characters that will lead to so many other Hale Street Stories- I can't wait to read them all.
I received an ARC of this book and have voluntarily provided an honest review.
Kennedy has serious trust issues and has a hard time letting Hunter know about her background and why she’s working in a bakery and pouring drinks when she used to work for the best marketing company in the country. Hunter wants to make stuff better for Kennedy but he knows she has to do it herself.
Sweet Spot is really good romance where the relationship slowly develops as Kennedy works through her problems.

On a personal note Hunter is taking over at the bar where she has been working for the last two years. His father was retiring, it was time . The chemistry between Hunter and Kennedy is off the charts . She is finally ready to move on from David who hurt her badly.
This is a great story that I can give a 5 star review for an arc honestly and freely given with no compensation.HEA great characters that I would enjoy reading about in the series.
