The nuts were fine. It's just that they were 'organic' because the seller said so, not because of any certification. I did not have any way to verify if they were truly organic or just average nuts sold as organic.

The nuts arrived on schedule, however, they were old, stale and rancid. I purchased these with an Amazon gift card. I will only purchase locally going forward.

Yes it does have a usda label that was printed onto a sticker and looks fake. Very sketchy packaging and does not look like the picture in the example. Picture says Peru, description says Bolivia.

Good quality ... Brazil nuts have lots of selenium which elevates your mood!! Soak some overnight in water ... next day, drain the water and put in a blender w/a banana and fresh water ... nut milk ... I don't strain but many do. They make YOU happy!!! Got it?

The package DOES have a USDA Organic Label on it, contrary to what other posters have written. I was buying bulk bin brazil nuts at my local grocery store and after I tried one of these for the first time, I'll never go back. These are EXTREMELY fresh and very delicious. Highly recommended!

No official USDA organic label anywhere despite the photo in amazon having it. They taste fine except one nut had a little area of yuk. Otherwise, they taste fine- just not sure if they are actually organic.

Here's the thing about these particular Brazil nuts...it only takes a minute or 2 of research to discover this. When you click on these nuts from the list, it shows you these are sold by Green Bulk. If you click on Green Bulk, you will see that Raw Food World buys these USDA and Qai Organic nuts in bulk from Green Bulk and repackages them in 1 lb packages. These are every bit as good as any I have ever eaten and I have eaten them daily for years. Yes the packaging I received them in is rather bland but who cares! I am so grateful to Raw Food World for buying these in bulk and repackaging them so I can buy ORGANIC Brazil nuts at such a great price.

I LOVE raw Brazil nuts to the point of being addicted to them--- if I'm not too cautious with my consumption-amount. So I was really excited to get these. But, when I tried them, the flavor seemed a little strange, not like what I KNOW, and am accustomed to tasting when I eat a fresh, RAW Brazil nut. The nuts are certainly raw, and definitely fresh--not stale or soft, nor soggy, like SOME others I have had that had been exposed to too much heat, or open-air too long. No, theses were definitely fresh, but the flavor was sort of synthetic or plastic-like. So, I think maybe the way they were processed had something to do with it, like how the shells are removed, or maybe the fact the plastic bag they were shipped in, somehow imparted a strange unpleasant flavor to them? I don;t know. I store them in the freezer. It has been about a week, it seems to have lessened that plastic-y flavor a little. Over-all not bad, but at least this way, I am NOT tempted to eat a whole pound of them at once, ha! It could be blessing in disguise. I would recommend if you are getting them strictly for their health-benefits, but, not so much if the flavor is essential. Good, but not the best, IMHO.
