It's taken me a couple of years to develop a taste for Stevia. Just started using these drops a couple of months ago - I use them every day - and love them. I haven't had sugar and haven't craved it. These help so much! Love all the flavors I've tried so far. Makes me feel good that I can satisfy my sweet tooth with a natural substance....getting the benefits from it of no spikes in blood sugar and weight loss that comes from no sugar consumption. These have REALLY helped. I will say, though, that the taste of the Hazelnut does not really shine through on this particular one. It's still good, but I wish the flavoring was stronger. Will still use, though.

I purchased this through Amazon on Oct 3, 2023.

It's disappointing when you have high expectations for a product only to be severely disappointed in it.

I've been a fan of Sweetleaf regular drops (and powder) for years. My go-to morning coffee is a black, light roast Kenya with 5-6 drops of Sweetleaf regular liquid sweetener and 2 T of Coffee-Mate Sugar-Free Hazelnut creamer.

But recently, I decided to move away from artificial ingredients and the Coffee-Mate has Sucralose in it. So imagine my pleasant surprise when a search revealed Sweetleaf had a hazelnut liquid sweetener! Based on my satisfaction with the regular drops, I had high hopes!

As they say, "reality never lives up to the fantasy". So true in this case.

I received my package in adequate time and it was packed thoroughly. No issues there. But this particular formulation doesn't live up to its big, and more popular, sister. In fact, this is downright disappointing. My biggest issues were lack of flavor and the sweeteness level.

For cream, switched to regular, unflavored half-n-half, thinking the SL HZ will replace the hazelnut and sweeten the coffee. That was not the case.

As you can see from the advertisement, and nutrition label, Sweetleaf claims that 1 serving = 5 drops which equate to 1 teaspoon of sugar. Well, did a taste test and 5 drops came nowhere near 1t of sugar. One teaspoon of sugar is sufficient for sweetening my coffee (which is why 5 drops of the regular SL drops works too). But the SL HZ took 4 full droppers before it was sweet enough as 1 teaspoon. Yes, 4 FULL droppers!

But the most disappointing part was that there is but just a wisp of hazelnut flavor with 4 full droppers. And even that was fleeting. After 5 drops or 1 or 2 or 3 full droppers, the HZ flavor was non-existent. It started to present itself after 4 full droppers. I imagine it would intensify from there but then it would be too sweet.

I've actually resorted to adding ground hazelnuts to my coffee and returning to the regular Sweetleaf drops and powder packets. Those are fantastic.

Sweetleaf, sadly, missed the mark with this. I do not recommend this specific product. But overall, I can't say enough good things about Sweetleaf, the company. The regular drops are as natural as you can get for a sugar substitute, and I have never tasted an aftertaste.

This will finally trigger a chat bot. Follow the prompts, tell it what you want to return, it will say the item can no longer be returned - a flat out lie if it's been less than 30 days. It'll ask if you need anything else. Tell it you have more questions about the item it won't let you return. Now you finally get a human (and it'll happen within moments, definitely not a long wait). Tell them whatever the problem is; you'll get a scripted "apology" and a refund. They'll try to push giving you an Amazon gift card instead. Don't. Actually get your money back.

I see so many reviews on so many products of people saying they can't return things, and I wonder how many millions Amazon makes off their misleading returns strategy.

I was skeptical when I saw how much I would get in a bottle, but you will be surprised how far a few drops go. I definitely suggest this product (or other flavours) if you want a sugar-free option for mixing drinks, coffee flavour, or flavour for fat bombs, this works beautifully. I used this one for sugar-free lemonade and was not disappointed. Just remember that some people don't like stevia due to a slight aftertaste... some people are bothered by it and some are not.
