These new pads are Great!

I just received the Heavy Duty Swiffler Sweep pads today. They are GREAT!!!
I have one Pomeranian dog that sheds constantly along with 2 cats.
I also live by a major highway.
This is what I picked up with this one pad.
Do I sweep everyday? Come on, who does? I do every 3rd day unless something going on and do it daily.
I was a little surprised at the new pads. They advertise it as big and fluffy. Nope, they are not. But, they pick up at least twice the amount of dog dander then the regular brand.
Buy them. YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID!

Get More Dirt

I have been watching IBAISAIC channel on youtube. He's an English guy who shows vacuums -- check it out. So watching him put me in a cleaning mood, and, as hot as it is, it is time for fall cleaning, so I decided to order a whole bunch of Swiffers at once. Since I did get them all at once, I can compare them in real time, instead of relying on memory. So...anyway...

These Heavy Duty Swiffers look like the machine at the factory made a mistake. They are the regular texture with globs of fuzziness adhered to the cloth. Those fuzzy pieces really do pick up more dust, but especially dirt -- the cloth was almost black instead of the usual grey. They also glide around the floor a lot easier. Little, really little, fuzzy pieces do come off, but they are so small, that I could feel grit here and there as I Swiffered, but I only saw one tiny piece. It did not bother me, but I could see how it would bother some people. Those people might want to go over it again with a flat cloth, even the brand x kind. I still think they would get more out of using the heavy duty first, even if it is only once or twice a week.

I have not dusted with them yet.

I DO NOT LIKE that you get so many fewer of these Heavy Duty cloths than the Regular ones for the same price, so I will use the Regular more often and use these intermittently. If I had pets, though, it would probably be the other way around.

Do these work better than the original Swifter Dry clothes? Yes and no. I live in a house of ALL hardwood floors. We don't have pets, but my two daughters and I all have long, dark hair. I think we shed as much as a houseful of pets :o) So, my Swifter dry mop is a lifesaver, and I use it everyday in the bedrooms and the main thoroughfares of the house. The pros on these new "heavy duty" pads? 1) They have a longer width (left to right on the mop head) so that there is an overage of the pad at either side of the mop. That works for me because the original Swifter pads would sometimes be a little short on the width, and they would curl up on the edges of the mop, exposing the plastic mop head and thus missing dirt and lint. 2) The thicker white "puffs" on the improved mop pads slide under and between furniture better than the original pad. Anyone who has hardwood floors knows that dust can accumulate under the bases of furniture and chairs where it is hard to get reach, especially if you have floor protector pads on the bases of furniture. Those little pads lift the furniture off the floor just enough for dust to get trapped under there, and these new, thicker pads get in all those little nooks and crannies. For those reasons, I like the new mop pads better. They also pick up hair and dust on tile floors a LITTLE better than the original pads which simply pushed the dirt and hair around my tile bathroom floor. Overall, do they pick up more dirt than the original pads? No - they pick up the same amount of dust and lint. But, they perform slightly better on tile, and their more generous sizing is enough for me to buy them again.

Only one side to clean - not great for dogs that shed

I was really excited to find these because I have a Lab that sheds horribly. I cleaned and the heavy duty pad didn't pickup the hair. Instead it pushed it around and left clumps around. The pads only have one side that can be used to clean. I will stick with the 2 sided regular. So disappointed.
