Editorial Reviews

Switched is a brilliant read that keeps you laughing, and sighing, and frustrated, and loving it!”—Rachel Schieffelbein, author of Run for the Roses
Switched was a mixture of heartfelt honesty and laugh-out-loud moments. Wesley and Kayla’s journey is one you can’t miss and will want to be on, cheering from the sidelines as they mess up and make up. I couldn’t get enough of these two.”—Theresa Paolo, author of (Never) Again
“Cassie Mae’s books have become my latest guilty pleasure. Pleasure, because who doesn’t love to read a romantic comedy? And I say guilty because when I lay my hands on one, I tend to read them in one sitting and let all my other responsibilities go to the wayside. What dishes?”—Pauline Creeden, author of Sanctuary
“Five stars . . . but as usual deserving of far more!”Le Book Squirrel
“I absolutely loved Switched. I found it cute, funny, goofy, and downright sigh-inducing.”The Shadow Realm
“I found myself smiling from ear to ear (and harboring a major craving for gummy bears . . .). I love the simple way she spells out a love story. The innocent gestures and internal dialogue cause me to sigh, or laugh, with the turn of each page.”Madison Says
“Sweet, romantic, funny, and very entertaining, Switched was a fantastic New Adult romance.”Imagine a World

“This is a cute, fun romance with lots of laughter and an adorable love story. Switched could be a chick flick, and a good one at that. If you are looking for a short, girly book to pass the time, then you’ve certainly come to the right place!”Dark Faerie Tales
Switched is a fun read and a welcome addition to the New Adult romance genre. I liked Cassie Mae’s writing and plot—it was just like reading a script for a 90s teen film, and there’s nothing wrong with that!”Wondrous Reads
Switched had everything I want in a fun and flirty romance: charming characters, realistic writing, believable dialogue and plenty of funny—and a couple sexy—moments. I really enjoyed Cassie Mae’s writing style.”Kimberly Faye Reads
“I really enjoyed this fun, quick novel about two people who don’t see what’s right in front of them until a little bit of (funny) drama. Mae is very good at getting me to chuckle throughout an entire book, because her heroines are quirky and unique.”Book Nerd

Oops, she did it again…
Wrote a crazy good book.
Ooo baby, baby.

Yup, totally singing my very own rendition of one of Britney Spears hits. Don’t judge me.

When I need to smile, to remember that there is good in the world, and that although no one’s perfect, someone out there is perfect for me – I pick up a book written by Cassie Mae. She’s my go to author. I know that anytime I reach for something she’s written, the world will look a little brighter, more vibrant – alive. It all started with REASONS I FELL FOR THE FAT FUNNY FRIEND, and with each new novel she produces, I grow to love her more.

"I’m in fantasy land, yes. And I’m going to stay here for a while till reality smacks me in the face."

It’s hip to be square, or so I’ve heard. I’m pretty sure that doesn’t include love squares though… Usually we’re dealing with triangles, but not Cassie Mae. No, a triangle is child’s play; she’s upped this sucker to a square.

Reagan and Kayla are BFFs. Talon and Wesley are too. Talon is dating Reagan, and has been for about a year now. Kayla and Wesley are friends by default. They’re each in love with their best friend’s significant other. Hence the square. Following me? I feel like I’m writing one of those obnoxious word problems where you have to put people in order. You know the ones I’m talking about. Kayla is shorter than Talon. Wesley is shorter than Talon but taller than Reagan… blah, blah, blah. It sounds more confusing than it really is. The most important piece of information is that Kayla has a plan. If she and Wesley can get Talon and Reagan to realize how fabulous they are, they’ll be home free. Sometimes you just have to give your soul-mate a little nudge, right?

I received an ARC for this book in exchange for an honest review. I’ve been sitting on this review for awhile because I wanted to get you people fired up for it. And nothing is more ridiculous than that kid at Christmas feeling and yet there are WEEKS before you can open your gift… and that’s exactly what I have found ALL of Cassie Mae’s books to be; a gift.

I want to head to the store right now and buy gummy bears. My word. MY WORD. This woman and her writing. I cringed, I pouted, I ekkked, I had bouncy balls, I held my breath, I laughed so hard and cried real tears and felt. Really felt. And that’s why I read. The character development is superb. I honestly think no one can top her writing when it comes to how her characters evolve. Her tiny details are so remarkable.

Such a perfect description of real life. We spend so much time thinking about all the things that we want and fighting like hell to get them only to realize what we need is right in front of our face and we’re too wrapped up in what we think we know, to see it.
Every so often I come across a book from an author that just makes me feel every single sentence. This is Switched. If I could only take one book with me on a desert island, I honestly think it would be this one. It’s angsty and jealousy and sexual tensiony. But Cassie Mae writes with a tasteful innocence like no other and it keeps me coming back for more. every. single. time.
People need to know about her. She needs to have thousands of followers. Her writing makes me so incredibly happy. Bone deep, high fivingly, fist pumpingly; happy.

Her words and detail are so incredibly different and arousing in a way I never thought possible.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: This is a cute, fun romance with lots of laughter and an adorable love story. Switched could be a chick flick, and a good one at that. If you are looking for a short, girly book to pass the time then, you’ve certainly come to the right place!

Opening Sentence: I love my best friend’s boyfriend.

The Review:

Kayla has been in love with Talon since she first met him. He’s handsome, sporty, and kind. In Kayla’s eyes, he has no flaws. But there is one problem, and it’s that Talon is Kayla’s best friend Reagan’s boyfriend. Kayla doesn’t want to make her friend lose him, but she and Talon are obviously soulmates, so it can’t be helped, and Wesley and Kayla form a plan. Wesley (Talon’s best friend) likes Reagan, Kayla likes Talon, and so all they need to do is break up the couple and give them the ones they are meant for. But as time passes, it becomes clearer that maybe this isn’t what Kayla and Wesley wants. Maybe, they want each other.

The characters in Switched are so loveable in different ways. Talon is so nice, he’s beyond reproach, and Reagan’s sassy personality always adds pizazz to the pages. Wesley is goofy, and confident, and altogether adorable. These four make an interesting combo, but in a way it just works. And Wesley! If this was a love triangle, I would be on team Wesley. Talon is great and all, but Wesley is not only handsome but also has a great sense of humor and works hard to own his own apartment. Additionally, I always hear details like how he smells like gummy bears, and that just gives the character more appeal. I’m surprised Kayla didn’t figure out how amazing he was until the end.

Okay, let me tell you, this is so funny.
