I hate how you have to pay for an episode even when you pay for the subscription to amazon prime. It makes no sense! I was oh so desperate for this episode though because I was too late to watch it on hulu plus (they removed it) so I paid the $2 to watch it on amazon prime. I wasn't disappointed in the actual episode but, Amazon, why do we have to pay to watch popular tv shows when we pay for a subscription? Feels like a rip off to me!

I have been an enthusiastic fan of this series for three seasons and looked forward to the program's continuation. Unfortunately, it's taking on a soap opera feel with all kinds of disasters which are becoming predictable as the characters make moves that make no sense, but continue the plot. I'm finding that I no longer have patience for the contrived drama.

This program has the most dysfunctional family ever. It is interesting how they survive many relationship and other problems. I have seen Katie LeCleric in several Hallmark movies and liked her work. From that I decided to watch Switched at Birth. Thougt it would be a bunch of tweenagers being teenagers. It is that, but many adult problems too. Didn't think I would, but the more I watched the more I got hooked and paid $36 to watch season 4!

I have been watching this show since I discovered it while looking for the switched at birth movie from the 90's. I was immediately hooked and watched every episode I could find. I loved the story line and the way the characters interacted with one another and the surprises that kept me on my toes. Somewhere in the 2nd season (the show releases episodes in such a weird way that it seemed there were already a few seasons and there was only 1) the show was clearly trying to figure out what to do to keep viewers because the story kept getting stranger and they just kept making me want to stop watching but then I would get bored enough to catch up on the show and find episodes here and there that would remind me of the shows former glory but never quite capture the magic the show had at the beginning. I will continue to watch till the end even though it is April of 2015 and for some reason the final season will start in 2017 (see what I mean about the weird timeline of release) just because I have stuck with it this far and when I'm bored enough it's something to watch but I don't keep up with it the way I used to at the beginning. Still a decent show. They probably lost viewers through all of their deviations from what was working in the beginning in a desperate attempt to capture new viewers. I think they could have done the story better.

The first two seasons of this show were really good, season 3 was okay but it burnt out and and now season 4 is kind of just a fizzle. And wth is up with Bay and all of her childish antics in season 4? It is kind of embarrassing watching a 19-20 year old (Bay) act like a 10-11 year old narcissistic girl. I cannot tell if the writers are scripting this train wreck behavior for Vanessa Marano intentionally or if they have simply ran out of ideas. But imo, it kind of sours the viewing experience. No more to say without writing spoilers so hopefully those that watch season 4 can experience some enjoyment and get past the boring writing and the appallingly shameful behavior of Bay Kennish.

I am giving this show four stars. I would give it 5 stars if based off of the first 2 seasons. But for me the story line has gone downhill pretty fast, especially at the very end of season 3. I knew at the end of season 3 that everything was building up to Bay and Emmett breaking up for good. But I had hoped the writers of this show would surprise me and I would enjoy season 4. No such luck! With the writers breaking up Emmett and Bay "forever" (and literally taking 10 episodes to do it) and Emmett and Daphne no longer best friends they seem to have no reason to include him in the story line in future episodes. But who would want to watch him in LA with another girl having no connection with the other characters? It just seems too weird and it is actually awkward to even watch!! His character for me was what made the show so I am really disappointed. I did love the earlier seasons but will not continue to buy future episodes with the way this season is headed.

Character development? What a concept! This show is original and daring. Every character gets a story but they have fun and share laughs in between the life changes. I love the twists and forgotten agendas that seep back. Awesome writers, a fun story!

My first experience with binge-watching.....my granddaughter got me hooked early in season 1, and we got up to date in about three weeks. Has progressively gotten more modern and edgy, a little less G-rated wholesome, but still a very good series!
