My PC is not HDMI interface, will it work when I use an adapter for HDMI?

If you have a Macbook with USB-C ports, you won't be able to connect it directly using USB cables. It's recommended to use a USB-C (male) to USB-A (female) adapter to connect the Mac and KVM switch, but not use usb c to usb cable.

If only 1 laptop and 1 monitor is powered up while connected to this KVM, will the KVM switches still works?

Works, but if you plug the PC 2 HDMI and USB part, you may need to press button to choose the PC. The KVM switch doesn't have automatic switching function.

Worked perfectly with 4k monitor, Logitech wireless keyboard and Elecom wireless trackball mouse. That's two separate wireless input devices from different manufacturers switching between a desktop and a laptop seamlessly. All the specific options I had configured in each device's settings app applied correctly on both computers. I have to say, I was not expecting it to work and assumed I would lose my device-specific settings between the two computers. I was pleasantly surprised when it just worked. Now the laptop is closed and off my desk but still 100% accessible when I need to switch over from my desktop unit. An excellent KVM.

I work from home and have both my work laptop and my home desktop sharing the same desk. Currently I have two sets of wireless keyboards and mice, one for work and another for home, and both computers share my single monitor. I didn't want to keep juggling multiple peripherals and having to go into my monitor's menu system just to switch inputs between the computers, so I did some research and found out about these devices, KVM switches, and gave this one a shot.
I just got everything hooked up and it works great! I'm glad that I'll be able to get rid of the duplicate peripherals and be able to share the monitor between the two machines with the single press of a button. My setup is as follows: work laptop into docking station. Docking station USB and HDMI into KVM. Desktop HDMI and USB into KVM. KVM into monitor and powered USB hub. The USB hub has the dongle for keyboard/mouse, my webcam and my headset. This setup allows me to share the monitor and these three peripherals between the two machines super easily.
I docked it a star because the build quality seems pretty cheap and I think the design could be improved. Your inputs are on one side and outputs on the other, making it this spider-like mess of cables when it's all hooked up. I think a better design would either be to have the inputs and outputs on a single side, stacked on top of each other so you could face that side of the device toward the wall and easily conceal all those connections, or put all the connections on the top of the device so they didn't stick out on both sides and take up so much room. Ultimately these are minor gripes and I'm really happy I discovered this simple and convenient solution to my problem.

I spent the first several months of owning this product being upset it didn’t seem to work at all. Turns out, the connections where you put the HDMI and USB cables are a bit clunky and you have to really wiggle it in and make sure the connection is secure. This would seem logical but this is beyond the usual level of precision jiggling you’d use plugging those same cables into your PC/Monitor. If it does nothing out of the box seriously work on the cables until they fully connect in the unit.

That said, I spent another few months thinking it wouldn’t work for 60hz and only allowed 30hz. I could not figure out why and it was driving me nuts. After putting it away and ignoring it (because I forgot to return it by deadline) I found myself needing it to work. I did a component by component check - turns out one of the short hdmi cables that came with the unit was the problem limiting the setup to 30hz. Replaced it with a random cheap one from a tv or something that I had laying around and everything now works.

This is my third different KVM switch, and it's the best by far for these reasons:
1. It has lasted one year. The others I had to replace within a year, either by warranty or purchasing new.
2. It has been consistent and reliable, both connecting very well to my peripherals and switching consistently and reliably between them.
3. It is easiest to use. There is a large top-mounted switch with a bright glowing ring that changes color to indicate which peripherals are in use. Given that this switch is likely to live buried somewhere amongst the wires behind your monitor and not glued to your mouse pad, easy visual and tactile access are huge benefits.

I haven't seen many cons, but there has been some occasional glitchiness with my webcam connection through the KVM. I hope this lasts forever, but I'll be replacing it with the identical model if it goes out.

I had some issues getting video to work at first, but got it sorted after unplugging and replugging and connecting the monitor directly to confirm the cords. I think the laptop was unable to identify the monitor for appropriate drivers through the KVM switch, but after it had been plugged in directly it worked through the switch. USB worked flawlessly, and I like the big button design with the color identification. It makes it easy to see the status and locate the button when it's buried in the back of the desk to hide the cords. No hotkey sort of feels like a drawback, but honestly I triggered it accidentally more often than intentionally with my previous VGA KVM switch so I'm not too disappointed.
