Another blissful saga in the world of Allie and Revik!

Allie consents to Revik's offer to live with as his mate for 6 months while he suspends ops against humanity. She hopes she'll be able to get to know the "new" Revik, but there are things about him now that are hard to swallow. Still, no matter how much everyone keeps telling Allie that Revik has become a totally different person than he was before, her love for him is still painfully intense.

When Allie uses telekinesis to save Revik's team from an op she's approved of, everything changes, and Allie's starting to question which side they're on (good versus evil).

This is another satisfying, action-packed Allie/Revik adventure from JC Andrijeski that leaves you wanting more. I managed to wait 24 hours before buying book Four. And that was a stretch.

My final word is the same as with the earlier books in the series: Read. This. Book.

Sword is definitely my favorite of the Bridge and Sword series so far. Sword begins after Shield; Allie is with the Seers and the Adhipan after being freed by Revik's op in DC. She's trying to persuade the humans to stop the fighting and come to a truce with the Seers. To this end, she's organized a peacekeeping speech in Dehli to try to get the world to come to an agreement. Soon after her speech, in waltzes Revik, who convinces her to come with him so that they may talk. Revik of course has other motives and after he leaves Allie, the peacekeeping event is bombed. The humans don't really care which Seer faction is the culprit, all they know is that the event was bombed and human attendees died, so now both Seer groups are considered enemies to the humans, even though Allie and Revik are still at odds.

Without giving too much away, the main reason I liked the book was the time Allie and Revik worked together in the second half of the book. I really liked how Allie started using more of her gifts. She's going to be amazing once she comes into her full powers. Of course, there's not yet a happily ever after for Allie and Revik and it's going to be interesting to see how their relationship fares after what happened in the last pages of this book. I'm looking forward to reading book four, Shadow.

I received Sword, book 3 of the Bridge and Sword series, as a free copy from the author, and enjoyed the read so much, I purchased a copy when it became available for sale.

There was a lot of tension, heartache, and emotional chaos in this book as Revik and Allie try to keep their marriage together in the face of war. It doesn't help they are on opposite factions with differing view of how to liberate the seers and handle the humans who have oppressed their race-- or races, if we want to count The Four as different types of seers. Fantastic surprises await the reader at the end. This is a continuation series and needs to be read in order, and although each book is complete in it's sub-plot, there is an unresolved overlying thread that exists through the series, giving a cliffhanger feel to the books. These are worth sticking with, as the author's imagination will toss lots of twists and turns in your path and keep you on the edge of your seat.

Once again, JC, will leave you frustrated, breathless, and heartbroken, as the Story continues with the Sword (Bridge and Sword Awakenings book 3) The story is full of complex characters, with complex issues, add in betrayal, imagined or otherwise and you have a very emotion read. Will Allie and Revik reconcile or will they try to sever their bond? How far would you go for the one, or ones you love?

Again - I've read the old-version series through book 9 so I'm biased because I know what's gonna happen in books to come... But YEAH!!! This is truly the first time we get to see Allie full steam - badass mofo status! Heartbreaking, hopeful, inspiring, joyful, frustrating - this book has me yelling out loud at my kindle! lol

***SPOILERS!*** For anyone who hasn't figured this out yet - this is the bottom line: THE. DRENG. IS. THE. ENEMY. You feel so bad because at first glance you think Allie has totally betrayed Revik, but throughout the book we forget that he is being blinded and manipulated by the Dreng. My absolute favorite scene is near the end when she and Revik are finally being honest in the sparring room... and she just totally rips into him! About being a Dreng puppet, about how he abandoned her after DC, and how it was in fact HIM who taught her who the real enemy was in the first place. "Are you f-ing infiltrating me right now, wife?" YASS LAWD! So good! So good.

I am now patiently awaiting Book 4 in the series; the author creates sharp tales with crystal clear description and character development that is pristine and downright perfect. I love the back and forth between the protagonists and antagonists.Just when the story line gets exciting Andrijeski ends the book! Darn her! I keeps me, and, I know other readers coming back for more. I've not come across such a talented writer in a long time. Please do not forget the Quentin Black series, my new favorite author, as I need to know how Quentin and Miri work out their differences. Even if you are not a fan of paranormal romance, just try one of her books, and I guarantee you will be hooked as am I--I want more!

I love pretty much everything from this author -- but this series seriously sucks me in like nothing else. Each book adds a brand new layer to humanity, meaning, relationships, and love. Allie and Revik -- well, they're probably my favorite duo of all time.

This book stretches your understanding of love and having a partner. I LOVE this series for that. The released versions are more streamlined, a little better with answers, and deeper in understanding the characters. All things that just had a whole new wonderful slant. I said it before, I'll say it again -- this book has a heart-clenching ending, which sets up for Shadow, which kills me every time.

Allie is all alone after the loss of her husband and then finds herself thrust into the role of the official face and voice of the seers. She then desperately tries to stop the two worlds that she straddles from an all consuming war. Then she discovers that Revik is not dead as she thought but instead is on the other side of the seer race and is already fighting the war against humans. There is no way she can compromise with him on this, but she has to do whatever it takes to save him from himself and save them all.

Wow - plenty of twists, turns, and agendas that are so hidden you can't pick them out until they happen. I loved the way the politics between the various groups came into things and how that affected all of the characters and their actions. As usual for this author, it was well written and I could feel and empathise with all of the thoughts and emotions involved in the story. The ending is a complete surprise and also pretty kick ass. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series now.

This is the 3rd book in the series and things are getting very complicated. I can't say too much about the story or I will spoil the plot plus quite frankly I would not know where to start. So many threads are weaving back and forth and I can't quite tell truth from lies because I see evil embedded in the plot everywhere.Ali suffers immensely throughout the book both physically and mentally. She has traveled a long road and it seems to get more and more twisted as time goes by. meanwhile her soulmate Revik suffers with her, and without her. The path he follows seems very clear to him and his followers but Ali is sure he is wrong... Gosh, this is just too good I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this series is. This one and Black are just phenomenal. I could read them over and over again and never get tired of them.
