I wanted a hard drive caddy for my computer but I wanted it to be able to hold an SSD as well as a hard drive. When I was looking there were a few that didn't have very good reviews but when I saw this one I took a chance on it and so far it works great. It can run both the SSD as well as a full mechanical hard drive at the same time as well as the two USB ports when connected to a USB 3 header on the motherboard. My computer only has one such header, but I plan on getting an expansion card in the future to take advantage of all 4 USB ports (2 on my computer and 2 on the caddy). The SATA power is split between the two with just one connection. The SATA data is separate from each other though. So 1 power connection and 2 data connections make this tray work. On my Asus motherboard, I have the two ports that these are plugged into hot-swappable so all I have to do is eject the drives in Windows and pop them out.
I've only had it for two and a half months so I can't really attest to the longevity factor, but so far it's working very well for my needs. If I have to guess a failing point that might occur it's probably the latch for the 2.5-inch drive. You have to push it quite hard to get it to latch and it's just plastic holding it in place.

This computer doesn't include USB 3.0 so i purchased one on Amazon and connected the internal USB cable.
Once the server was rebooted (using Windows Server 2016) the Samsung 2.5 SSD was found as well as the Kingston 128 gb USB 3.0 flash drive.
It is spring loaded and it is hot swap-able.
It doesn't require trays or keys. It does operate with an on/off switch. Once the drive is connected to the 2.5, a blue light will display above the power switch. If the 3.5 drive is installed, the red light will appear. The light blinks when there is activity on 3.5 but on the 2.5.
Will be purchasing another one for the other server in a few weeks.
If you need a backup solution and you don't need the DVD/CD drives anymore, this is a very speedy backup solution.
Make sure you turn on the eSata port, in the BIOS settings, on this particular computer.
I purchased some Western Digital 2 tb 3 1/2" hard drives, a week ago, to replace the 1 tb Hitachi drives. I used Clonezilla to clone the 1tb to the new drive, in the 3 1/2 bay. It completed in 90 mins with no data loss.

One interesting thing about this enclosure is that to cram both a 2.5 inch trayless and 3.5 inch trayless into the space of a 5.25 bay they had to use a connector on the tray that isn't a true female SATA connector. It is a SATA connector with the top plastic part of the connector removed. As a result, when you insert the drive, the SATA contacts mate through pressure from the bottom without any way to mate with the connector on the top or to maintain a tight connection with drives that are thin. So far, Hitachi, Seagate, and WD 3.5 inch drives all follow a standard thickness and mate perfectly. But 2.5 inch drives vary in thickness and I found that my Corsair SSD is too thin and so doesn't maintain a tight enough connection to be reliable. A Samsung SSD is a little thicker and works just fine. A HGST mechanical drive that I pulled from a laptop is too thin to maintain a connection.
The locking mechanism is very solid and it is spring loaded so it is easy to get drives out. The front LEDs are dual color so they change color when the drive is being accessed. The USB3 passthrough works as expected.
I took one star off due to the way the drives connect unreliably without a true female connector for the drive. The enclosure is fully open from the top and I don't see any reason that a full female connector wouldn't have worked in the enclosure.

There is a single switch to toggle power to both drive bays - but the LED indicator is way too bright. The 19-pin USB-3 header cable is quite short but should be ok for most case/motherboard combinations if the 19-pin header is on the right-side of the motherboard. I used a USB3 to USB2 header adapter since my 19-pin was already used.
Thahk You all the gang, Syba
Have a good day.
LiberT.
P.S. Comme cadeau de la fête des Pères, j'ai demandé un Syba en cadeau,
au cas où une de mes unités auraient des problèmes.
Significantly more convenient if your board supports hot swapping (plugging/unplugging of SATA cables while the computer is running). USB 3 ports work fine.
The build quality isn't great. The mounts are anti-vibration, but also quite flimsy. The clips that close the doors are a bit cheap, and one day I'm sure the doors are going to stop staying shut. For the price, it's hard to argue.
