Its adhesive back and flexible body allows it to attach to any clean and dry surface-- no matter how odd its shape. And with its connectors, the MOSAIC Flexible Light is able to make sharp turns around corners. Kits come with four 2-Feet flexible LED light strips, connectors and a remote control. Set to any one of 15 colors, plus white, or one of the preset color changing patterns using the remote control. Strips can be cut at 6-Inch intervals. So I have a glass computer desk and of course I am a giant dork so I wanted my desk to glow. I originally had a generic white rope light that I wrapped around my desk and created a white glow all around the glass. When I saw these colored strip lights at my local BJ's I immediately told my wife to get these for me for Christmas. They come in a set of 4, 2 foot strips that have sticky tape on the back along with a couple of short flexible coupler pieces for making your strips bend and of course 1 remote.

I love all the different combinations of colors you can choose along with the ability to brighten or dim and of them. There are also a few weird modes that allows you to make them flash or cycle between colors but none of them fade very nicely in my opinion.

The glue on the back of these strips are also very strong. In my opinion a little too strong. If you have to re-position these strips once you stick them to anything you can forget about it. As soon as I started to pull one off to make a slight adjustment, all the sticky goo and paper on the back of the strip stuck to the glass and I had to use WD40 and a razor blade to scrap it off. Now just imagine how it will leave your wall looking if you ever want to take them down.

The BIGGEST issue for me with these lights is the fact that the IR receiver gets triggered by just about every remote I have in my house. So if I have the lights on and say press pause on Netflix it causes the lights to strobe white! Same on my TV remote; if I press volume up, it changes the colors to yellow. How Sylvania let this issue get past testing is beyond me.

Still even with these minor inconveniences they are really nice and changes the whole mood of my room. They are also pretty cheap for all your getting

I ordered these lights after learning about red/blue lights and how they effect your sleep, energy and stress levels. This light strip was extremely easy to install: connect the pieces, stick to wall, plug in. It looks like there's even an option to trim the segments of strips to your desired length, to find everywhere and anywhere. The remote came with a battery in it so we used them right away. The remote has raised buttons in a pattern that makes sense, so it's easy to find the right button in the dark. The settings range from very dim (almost dark) to extremely bright (nearly painful to look right at) and can display in all colors (literally: white, purple, light orange, dark green, baby blue- an all colors between). We installed them above our bed so we could wind down at night/wake up in the morning with red lighting, to mimic sunset/sunrise. We've noticed amazing improvements in our mood, sleep cycles, energy levels and stress control. I rarely purchase tech/electronic products, but this has been BY FAR one of the best purchases I've made in years. Our TV remote has never interfered with the lighting settings. I look forward to buying a set for each room in our house.

I figure most people who buy this have a pretty good understanding how they are going use it.

It seems however that there is always a catch or glitch to a perfect or universal or any surface product and that is the same here. For me those are:
- Only operable by remote
- Can only cut the last piece to fit
- Cannot use screws for mounting
- Only comes in white
- Adhesive is a little weak, especially on a textured plastic surface
- Shares remote codes with Yamaha receivers- MOST Unexpected, volume up and down affect the light

I was able to complete my project despite these limitation and would say "It depends" if I was asked whether or not I would recommend this product.

I got these lights at Costco for an excellent price like another reviewer did.

Having just assembled a new ten-foot wall of storage for our family room, I needed to add accent lighting since that has always been a dark corner of the room and the new shelves are very tall which only adds to the shadows. I found some great options on Amazon, but I opted to visit my local Costco first. I found these to be a great bargain, plus noted they were expandable (via add-on modules purchased online with a special Costco discount code) which meant, if I liked them, I could extend the run to cover the entire 18 foot run of shelves I wanted to highlight. (One shelf stretches across the entire 10 foot unit, wrap around, then the next lower shelf ends after an 8 ft linear run.)

I didn't stick the lights up yet, but just wove them onto the shelf supports to get an idea of the effect of the lights. Great! I decided right then and there to order the accessory Sylvania 72349 LED Expansion Kit for Mosaic Flexible Light to expand my Sylvania Mosaic system into the full 10 strips (or 20 feet of LED lights.)

The Costco packaging made reference to a particular purchase website, but I always check Amazon for price comparison. Lo and behold, here I found listings and reviews for the product. This is where I discovered the remote control problem. Not only did a couple of people have tv remotes that affected their lights, but someone WITH THE SAME BRAND OF RECEIVER AS MINE (Yamaha) had the problem. I turned on the tv and adjusted the volume...
