I have three dogs, the oldest of which is a 70 pound, 13 year old Springer/Lab mix named Sid. Sid was and continues to be too stubborn to realize his hind legs and hips were failing him whenever we'd go for walks, or he tried to get off of the floor or up the stairs. His stair ability finally left him early this last summer, and he started to look a bit dejected in general. I researched a LOT of supplements desperate to find one to help him. I like many of you reading this read HUNDREDS of testimonials, mostly on the manufacturer's site. What convinced me most was that the liquid form has a much higher absorption rate than the pills. Well, I started Sid on the product in July. Within 2 weeks we notices subtle improvements, mostly that his legs weren't shaking when he was just standing still. After about 90 days we saw the most improvements. We were not unrealistic enough to think he would be cured, but we would have been thrilled if is showed him a greater quality of life in general. It has done that and more. We are so pleasantly surprised at how much more comfortable he seems to be, so much so that he again is RUNNING on our walks to keep up with his younger siblings. Not breaking any land speed records mind you, but full out running! A month later we started our two 10yr old mixed breeds on it, hoping the ounce of prevention theory will work. I am confident it will. Seems pricey but if you love your pet it's worth every penny.

Update 8/14/08 Sid had continued to enjoy a better quality of life with greatly improved mobility. Sadly today he was claimed by advanced heart disease...but I will add that his last 13 months on this product had him still able to climb 4 stairs unassisted, despite his terrible illness. It is my firm belief that Synflex made it so that his legs lasted longer than his heart :( RIP Sidney "Squid" You are terribly missed

I tried this product not really thinking it would work, but hoping. After trying all sorts of pain medication from the vet that made my pet very sick and never really helped his arthritis, I tried this and now he is flying around. I'm not saying that his arthritis is gone, I know it isn't, but he can go up and down stairs and runs with my other dogs. I'm not really sure how glucosamine works, but Quinny, my 11 year old dog, is much, much happier with his life now.

We did not know that Lady, our beloved dog's back had become fused with calicum, until it broke apart. She was in so much pain she was unable to move. Our vet put her on Rymidal. I looked it up and the side effects of it were frightening, sometimes causing death. I continued research and Glucosamine sounded like a better alternative. She has been on it now for almost a month and is moving around, going up and down stairs, on walks, and running with our other dog Luya when they go outside. She has an appitite, and when it's time for food, she is the first one to the food bowls. What a change. She will always need to be on something for her back and we will continue with the Synflex Liquid Glucosamine. We even give it to Luya as a preventative.

I have a twenty year old male cat. He was having problems moving and could not jump up on anything. I had to put hime on the bed or up on a chair. I really did think his time had come. I heard about this product from another friend and decided to try. Unbelievable! I was sitting at the table the other day and bam, he jumped up on the chair and onto the table. He has also been jumping up in chairs, however he will only use his stairs to get into bed or jump up in the chair to the night stand and onto the bed. I am pleased with this product. I know that there is not a lot of time left for this old feller, but it at least will be injoyable and better for him. Thanks!

Sorry that I ordered this product. I should have paid close enough attention to the fact that it uses shark cartilage, which is unnecessary as experts, including veterinarians, state that shark cartilage is no better than other normal sources (i.e., shrimp exoskeletons). I prefer not to support the cruel practice of slaughtering sharks simply for the cartilage in their fins. If you have an arthritic dog as I do, try the Liquid Health Premium 5000 brand along with Natural Pet Pharmaceuticals Muscle, Joint & Arthritis. Together, they've brought my little friend back to a life of normalcy.

My eldest cat is 14 and has severe arthritis in his hind end. Because he's kind of barrel chested it makes it really hard for him to get up and go up and down the stairs. He stopped using the stairs for nearly 9 months, then after about a month of Synflex he was back to going up and down an entire flight. He takes it slow, but still - he's doing it. The Synflex along with some heating pads (K&H Pet Bed Warmer, 13 Watts, Large, 11 By 24 Inches) let him live comfortably.

I dose him 1-1.5 ml every day using an oral syringe. I squirt it in slow because cats aren't meant to take more than 1-1.5 ml liquid at a time. He doesn't seem to mind the taste and because of how the bottle is made it's really easy to fill the mini reservoir to fill the syringe.

Overall a great product and I definitely recommend it for feline arthritis.

One thing to note: do NOT give the Synflex 1500 to your pets, it has white willow bark in it (aspirin), which is toxic to pets. Stick with the pet version only.
