Format: Paperback
This is a great look at SOAD's beginnings and development as written by a self confessed fan (it may be biased, but at least he acknowledges that!). The info is pretty comprehensive and there are also a few pictures in the middle photo plates. You really get a feel for what inspires and motivates this band and come away with a deeper appreciation of their music. It also points out various places to find alternative music and art by the band that are not included on the albums. As the only source (that I know of) of this information on the band, this makes this book invaluable for fans who want a biography of an outstanding metal band. Well worth a go.

This is an unauthorized book about SOAD, but the author has had many interviews with the band and people surrounding them before. I don't get a feeling that SOAD will really find anything bad about them being said here, in fact, if you believe Mr Myers you'd think SOAD is the greatest rock band in history. Well, at least the most interesting metal band of this century in my view.

It's a good read.
