Awesome tool set for technies and engineers

Once upon a time I was an electrical engineer and every electrical engineer has somewhat of a tool fetish. Back then I had a nice collection of small hand tools, including brands such as Xcelite and Wiha. I was willing to pay more money for these brands because they were made for professionals who appreciated the time and money saved by properly working tools.

Fast forward to now - no longer an EE but I was looking for a set of small screw drivers just to have around for the increasing number of electronics gadgets that have tiny little screws. At first I searched for a set of screw drivers in different sizes. I and other professionals have always shunned switchable tip screwdrivers because they are wobbly, poorly made, and never felt right.

But these Wiha screw drivers are different. There are no tips but entire shanks. And the shanks have the appropriate thinness to be useful. And when installed in the handle, the entire assembly is secure and completely flex free - as solid as a normal screw driver. The blades are sturdy, offer very good grip on screws, and do not deform easily. I've used my set for a couple of months now and the tips do not show any wear - these will last me quite a while.

My only wish is that Wiha put out a version that had magnetized tips. I don't know what trade-offs that may require, but that would be the idea screw driver for engineers-turned-hobbiests like me.

love this screwdriver

love this screwdriver, Giving it 4 stars because the tip of the handle(part that holds the hex blade in) Could've been better made. Right now the blade slides back into the handle if enough pressure is applied(doesn't take much), very annoying when removing screws just out of reach.

Took me a few days to realize that all I needed was a small piece of paper shoved between the blade and the handle tip, and it holds it perfectly now, without slipping. If this issue wasn't present, I'd obviously give 5 stars, it's a minor inconvenience though.
