T-Sac’s Tea Filter Bags are single-use, natural paper tea infusers for steeping to brew high-quality loose leaf tea with the convenience of tea bags. Enjoy the fresh, natural taste of loose leaf tea without the hassle and mess of conventional straining methods. Control the amount of tea used for a more robust and flavorful cup of tea. Easily blend teas for customized brews. T-Sac Tea Filter Bags are made with fine paper fibers that allow tea to brew quickly while keeping sediment and smaller tea leaves of the finer grade teas from escaping into the brew. The top flap folds over to secure contents inside. The expandable, gusseted bottom allows ample room for tea leaves to fully expand and T-Sac to sit securely without the need for a filter stand. Easy to Use. Simply open the T-Sac, measure in the desired amount of loose leaf tea and fold the top flap over. Place into a teacup for mug and pour in just-boiled water. Steep tea no less than 3 minutes to release its essential oils and maximum the brewed infusion with aroma and flavor. Once tea is steeped to desired strength, discard the T-Sac. Great for steeping all types of tea, including black tea, oolong tea, green tea, chai, chamomile and other herbal tea. Or use for mulling spices for cooking and baking, or make hot apple cider, spiced wine, and other drink recipes with mulled spices. Just fill with aromatic spices instead of loose tea. T-Sac Tea Filter Bags are user friendly and disposable for convenience and easy cleanup. Made in Germany from all-natural, unbleached paper with no chemicals or artificial ingredients to taint the flavor of the tea. Environmentally sensitive, completely biodegradable and fully compostable. Available in 4 convenient sizes to brew tea, from single servings to large teapots.
Top Customer Reviews
The opening of the tea bag is just slightly larger than a teaspoon. (See attached pic). For this reason, some larger leaf teas can be a tiny challenge spooning into the bag since the opening may slightly touch the spoon and "grab" a few leaves. But it is still manageable. Finer ground teas probably wouldn't be a problem at all.
I read some reviews that suggest stapling the bag shut but I have never found this to be necessary really. Providing all of the tea is shifted to the bottom of the bag, I simply fold the excess of the bag over the rim of my cup and it tends to stay in place. or if i plan to drive, walk, etc with it, pin the excess down with the lid of my tumbler.
Anyhow, great filters. Will definitely purchase again. :-)
Very cheap. Saves washing for picnics, I suppose, but for regular use, be aware that you have to dig for the 'good ones'.
1: It is virtually impossible to take a single bag out of the box. One or two usually come out with it and I have to squish them back into the box - or have them hang around and slowly get lost. I'm not sure if it is even a solvable issue yet it is annoying.
2: No string. OK, I know, I know. I am asking too much. But I would pay good money for a little string attached to the bags somewhere. Heck, some enterprising soul may even attach labels to the strings that can be used for gift messages etc.
I use mini staples to close the bags, like many others, and it works great.
ON SECOND THOUGHT: I order 4 boxes of the smallest size at one time. Upon reordering, one of the boxes contain a batch of bags wherein every second baggie has holes where the sides are supposed to be sealed together. This is bad QC! Now I have to check every single bag for intactness before use in order to avoid the mess you see on the picture.
**Tip for Tisanes!** I have a Ginger Turmeric that has some of the craziest, lightweight pieces! And they would FLOAT OUT sometimes. Well, there's no suggestion on the box about FOLDING over the top flap. I use a wide cup when I do these, and I actually hold the teabag in place while I pour the water NEXT to it, and then lower it to the bottom of the fold you made and the petals, peels, etc will all stay in place! Bon chance! I'm also available for lots of goofy related info, if there are questions. I travel and while no expert, I would call myself a qualified appreciator! 😉
So, then in a tea deprived frustration, I found the T-Sac Tea Filter Bags and I've been using them ever since. Never again do I have to worry about those loose tea leaves floating around in my drink - that's gross. The fact that there aren't companies that make infusers with a finer screen is a little surprising to me. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this problem...
