Born in Southern California, Terri Wharton Johnson grew up along the coast, later moving to Georgia.
For almost thirty years, she taught preschool age children, and developed an age-based curriculum for Preschool teachers. Teaching children, she developed a talent for quick storytelling to interact with the children. After a tragic horse accident in 2009 that left her disabled, she took a children’s writing class, only to find her flair was darker then children’s stories. Her instructor encouraged her to write about something profound in her life. After much thought she wrote about a dream that came nightly and haunted her more than 20 years. So after two years of writing her first novel, The Eye of Lies, was born.
