Be prepared for almost any culinary adventure with T-fal Professional nonstick cookware. The cookware’s innovative Thermo-Spot heat-indicator technology ensures properly pre-heated pans—a must when it comes to sealing in juices and flavor, whether sautéing or searing. When the pattern in the center turns to a solid red spot, the pan is hot and ready to cook. The cookware’s heavy-gauge aluminum construction provides fast, even heating, while stainless-steel warp-resistant bases make the cookware compatible with any cooktop, including induction. PFOA-, Lead-, and Cadmium-free, the cookware’s ProMetal nonstick interior offers exceptional strength and scratch resistance (safe for use with metal utensils), and it requires little to no fat or oil, which allows for healthier cooking, effortless food release, and quick cleanup. The cookware’s riveted silicone handles stay cool to the touch for a secure, comfortable grip, and its vented tempered-glass lids with cool-touch handles trap in heat and moisture and make it easy to monitor the cooking process. With its tall sides and wide base, the T-fal Professional 10-inch fry pan works well for cooking a wide range of menu items—from breakfast fare to delicious dinner entrees. Dishwasher-safe and oven safe up to 400 degrees F, T-fal Professional nonstick cookware offers exceptional versatility and ultra-convenient everyday use.
Top customer reviews
Its kind of maddening...because the cooking surface, weight, construction and the metal base are all top notch at a fair price.
I'll attach pictures to illustrate what I don't like. Included are 2 pictures each of T-Fal pan and another pan I'm trying to replace. 1 picture is of each pan sitting on my stove which is slightly off level. The other pictures show each pan leveled, which shows how the bottoms of the pans effect liquids.
The pan is reasonably heavy, especially for a bargain priced pan, making this pan a joy to use. The pan worked very well when I stir-fried using Big Boss 9147 1300-watt Induction Cooktop Compatible with Induction Cookware, Black. T-fal also includes a glass lid and is oven-safe up to 350 degrees F, if I remember right. The pan is nonstick making it easy to clean.
My reason for knocking off a star is more related to design than to performance: in my perfect world, all pots and pans could nest with their lids turned upside down on top of the pan so you can stack another pan of equal or smaller size on top. Storing pots and pans this way not only saves space (and keeps pots and their lids together); it also helps to protect the pans from being scratched by stacking lidless pans and pots inside each other. There may be a reason why manufacturers don't take the height of their lid handles into consideration (maybe chefs have bigger, fatter fingers than mine and they need all that extra space to slip their beefy hands under the handles). I've only made such a big deal about this because if I had known this about the T-Fal pans, I might have considered another brand. Should have asked in the Product Questions section, I guess.
