Frying eggs is not a problem anymore and cleaning is a breeze, no need for dishwasher, just hot water. When it came, what stroked me most was the size (whole fish-like a trout will fit in it nicely), plus how light it was. I like its depth, nice handle with soft grip, not mentioning the thermal spot for knowing exactly when to start cooking.
I'm also pleased to hear that t-fal is pushing health and ecological standards up, making it PFOA and PTFE free!
^ size 12.5"= ca 12" diameter with actual cooking surface of ca 10.5", deep ca 2", handle almost 8"L.
^^ weight" 2lbs 8oz
^^^ dishwasher safe, PFOA and PTFE free, good on gas, electric, glass

My first impression of it by using it was its excellent non-stick property, probably the best I've ever tried. But again, each non-stick coatings in the past I have bought were surpassing the previous ones. The technology is advancing non-stop. I kinda start missing the taste of grease. haha. but I suppose I can use it if I want to.
I wish it had little more depth to it but it comes from my experience of getting used to the depth of wok I have been using. I'll get use to it eventually.
I'm hoping this to last as long as the last one I have been using but when the time comes to replace it, T-Fal brand, specially the ones with heat indicator will be one of my option. The heat indicator is more useful than I was expecting. You can still use the old method, drop an oil and how it starts smoking, etc. but having another indication won't hurt. Heat indicator comes on at lower temperature than oil and smoke method.
My next one will be this with stainless steel bottom for induction cook top that I'm planning in the future.
Once I got over the "small" thing, I couldn't be happier with the pan. I cook 2 fried eggs in it easily, 3 if the eggs are small and it makes a fine 3 egg omelet. The non-stick is so slippery that it takes a while to get used to it! When you go to slide the spatula/turner under an egg to flip it the egg has no "traction" on the pan so it will slide. It's a good thing really - you just have to change your technique a bit.
The outside cleans up beautifully as well. I bought one for a friend who just re-did their kitchen and they love it. The red looks so nice on their black cooktop.
The Thermo-Spot is a nice little feature. I'll put the pan on the burner on low and then get my eggs out, bread for toast, etc and once I've done that I can take a peak in the pan to see if I'm ready to cook. It's very easy to use. You can see the "pattern" in the spot when the pan is cold and as it comes up to temperature the pattern disappears - a nice little touch.
I liked this pan so much that I got a 10" to match. Amazon sells a set of the 8" and the 10" at a very nice price.
Seems to distribute heat evenly for even cooking.
Cons: The pan is so light and "handle-heavy" that it tips over when placed in the exact middle of the burner.
A bit smaller than expected. The top opening measures about 7 1/2" but the cooking surface is only about 5 1/2"--just large enough to fry an egg and a grilled cheese sandwich on your typical sliced bread but larger slices squashes fold up the edges.
Bottom line: I'll keep it but wouldn't buy it again.
