I was very disappointed in this DVD player. Initially, I was very excited by the clear screen and the wide viewing angle. It was much sharper and brighter than the previous player I had in there. Sadly, after about 6hrs of use on our annual Thanksgiving road trip, the IR transmitter went out and none of the headphones would work anymore. Add to that the fact that it would skip all over the place on certain DVDs (chapter to chapter on pixar ones for some odd reason) and it made for a very poor experience. Thankfully, the internal speakers were able to prevent the purchase from being a total loss for that trip, but I returned it none the less.

This price is low even among cheap off-brand labels. It has a good deal of features you don't normally find in this price range, like MP4, AAC, SD slot, USB, motorized loading/unloading disc, and widescreen format. Of course, being this cheap it isn't without its' problems. Just understand that you are paying the same price for this DVD player that you could expect to pay for a cheap monitor only screen.

This is the 2nd Tview I've had and the first one came with a small and easy-to-use mounting base. This one has a large base that is barely smaller then the unit. The slot of the cables isn't really large enough so I actually tied the cables to the unit and ran them through the ceiling at the rear (side nearest the rear of the car) of the unit since it has a large opening there. The interior light is a bit confusing, just as it was on the last Tview I had, and I had to wire it backwards for it to work. Just be aware of that before you solder anything. The clock function is useless as it doesn't keep time for even a full day. It also has problems playing some DVD's. I had one DVD that would play random chapters. I had no control over it at all. Another DVD would never load the menu. Pushing 'menu' on the remote only got me to the setup screen and not the DVD menu.

The one thing I like the most about this unit is that it resumes where it left off. So, when you power it on, it picks up playing the video where you left off so you don't need to bother with it. When it does decide to play a DVD, it does it well. The screen looks really nice and the built-in sound is much better than expected since the last Tview I had was hard to hear. I haven't used the IR or FM so I can't review that for you.
