For this specific model, the day time video capture is super clear, I went with the 64 GB SD card (high performance) and so far haven't had any issues with video recording. We had a few cold weeks in the area during the month of February and had no power issues when stored in the car during the day and overnight ... the capacitor seems pretty robust. Some "complaints" I have is that I feel the night recording isn't the greatest ... a lot of glare, which makes it hard to see license plates if you would need that information. I may have to play with the settings to improve the night recording, but haven't had time to do so. I also think the G-sensor setting is overly sensitive. Considering this latter features "locks" the videos and present them from being recorder over, this can cause the card to fill up quickly. To make sure recording doesn't stop during driving, I usually reformat the SD card every 2-3 days to empty it.
There's a few extras (i.e. GPS suction cup; direct attachment to the rearview mirror) that allow some modularity to install in your vehicle. Currently, I'm just using the suction cup that came with it. Also,I haven't explored the WaveGaurd parking feature as of yet ... need to run the power cord in a way that hides it. I do like that the manufacturer provides two power supplies, as this would allow you to hardwire the camera in one car and then use the car charger in another vehicle if you want to share it between two cars.
Overall, I'm really happy with the dashcam and would recommend it. Hopefully you won't ever NEED it, but if you do, it can be a real asset.
