Good but came with scratches

It’s a really good knife overall, but the only thing I have to say it doesn’t arrive sharp. And when it arrived, it had a few scratches on it. It opens and closes nicely.
This knife is far nicer than it has any business being at this price point. The handle has this rubber composite like finish that actually really surprised me since I was expecting it to be a harder composite plastic, so that was really nice. The knife is a good length, I'd say over 8" open. I'm going to buy a few to keep as "throw away" knives incase I ever gotta ditch the knife for a security check or something. I'd very much recommend this knife

I bought this knife for hiking. I got it for $6.99 here on Amazon and I'm amazed at the value. It's an incredible knife because it's really a study in stunning contradictions. It's a beefy knife with a 3 1/2 inch blade but weighs only 127 grams. By comparison, my Gerber Crucial Multitool (2 1/2 inch blade) weighs 150 grams and my Fire Talon Multitool (3 inch blade) weighs 274 grams (See the photo.). The knife feels light in my hand yet solid and substantial, with absolutely no blade play whatsoever. It deploys very quickly and locks tightly into place, yet releases with ease, making it a great one-handed knife. The nylon fiber handle feels smooth and yet grips amazingly well. There is generous jimping to keep my hand from slipping too. It's a really good-looking knife and designed to conform to my hand, making it both beautiful and practical. It came out of the box very sharp, with great serrations on the blade that aren't too dangerous to touch. The clip is tight but allows the knife to slip into my jeans pocket with ease. It's a good wilderness knife while also being a great EDC knife. There are a couple things I noted that aren't a big deal to me but I wanted to mention. It's not as easy to open the blade with the thumb studs but this seems to be loosening up with use. Also, the way the pocket clip is designed, the knife sicks out a little more than some other knives, making it somewhat less discreet for everyday carry. The clip can't be moved, which makes this a right-handed knife, but I'm right-handed so that's fine with me. I had originally planned to buy a more expensive knife, but I'm glad I decided to go cheap because this knife is worth so much more than the incredibly low price I paid. I plan to use it backpacking, where I have less need for a multitool (I have a mini one for that anyway), and while it may not be some huge, fixed-blade bushcraft knife, it's big enough and solid enough to take care of whatever I'll need it for out on the trail. You can't go wrong with this knife. I highly recommend it and am so glad I purchased it. Were I more of a knife guy I'd have grabbed a few more (They have lots of camo styles!) but this knife is so great, I think one will do just fine!

I’ve heard good stuff about TAC Force, especially from Youtube reviews, which is why I purchased this to replace my previous pocket knife that was lost. Specifically I was looking for a blade that was half serrated.
Unfortunately, it didn’t really live to my expectations.
My first impression was that it feels kinda clunky to use.
The knife feels slow and heavy when you deploy and the liner lock doesn’t bend very much (it touches the blade for like 1mm).
The blade is not super sturdy and has some wiggle to it.
The blade came pretty dull. I did a test with paper and it doesn’t do a clean cut every time. Definitely needs to be sharpened before every day use.
Overall, I was expecting to get more than my money’s worth and that is simply not true. You can get better knives for under $10. I will keep this one for now but definitely replace it soon.
Definitely great for the price. 100% worth it. 5 bucks? Can't beat it!
However, this knife does have a couple of VERY MINOR flaws. As does any knife.
First off, this knife should be used primarily as an EDC knife. It's great for such a purpose - the half-serration makes it fine for opening packages/cutting string/whatever else you may need. I did try cutting some things right out of the box with this knife, and while it cut paper perfectly, the serration sometimes got in the way since it takes up ~50% of the blade. I also opened a few packages with it (cardboard, of course) and it works just fine. Great for EDC use or something that you may need around the house.
However, I did want to test the coating on it since it's black. It's made of 440 Stainless Steel so you can sharpen it rather well. I did have an empty 16-ounce aluminum can that I cut straight down the middle. Cut pretty well, but there were tons of scratches left on the blade that were painfully noticeable. After rubbing it away with your fingers though, they disappear. Very interesting!
The weight is fine, not too heavy nor light. Very solid, the lockup is okay but if you flick it out too fast the lockup does screw up a little bit - nothing major at all, just becomes harder to unlock. The belt clip is very tight, makes it somewhat hard to get onto your pants or pocket, but easy to get off and won't come off if you're running or something. May loosen after breaking it in, though. There is absolutely zero bladeplay!
The blade has a thumb stud on either side of the blade so even lefties can use it. It flips out somewhat fast, but it's definitely not slow. Overall I gave this knife a 4/5 for the minor flaws that could have been avoided. Amazing value for the price!
Definitely recommended, give this knife a try if you need one to carry. Great value, solid and sharp knife. Nice job, TacForce.
