Overall, very happy with this purchase. The saw was maybe a 1/32 out of alignment, MAYBE 1/64 just from eyeballing it with a square, but perfectly within threshold for me. I will review on longevity in the future later.

I wish it had an inches mark instead of CM along the back rail. Unfortunately, over here in the US, my mind only comprehends inches.

As far as knocking off a star - I was shipping two left-hand-side supports, which you can see in my first picture does not allow the right hand side support to line up perfectly. I tried swapping them around, or seeing if I could fix it myself, but it looks like it is indeed a left hand and right hand support, and they just sent me two lefties. I contacted support via email and am awaiting a response. I offered to send back the old for a new, we will see.

If I don't hear anything from support, I will knock further stars because it worries me about warranties/etc if I needed something larger done.

Update - Contacted tacklife support directly - within a week I had my replacement. A+ Customer service. Upgraded to 5 stars.

So I ordered this item based on the reviews, I almost bought a Dewalt Miter Saw but the reviews and price this unit were too good to pass up so I pulled the trigger.
I got it pretty quickly in a huge box. The saw is about 90% put together with a few things that need to be put together but all in all not a big deal.

Before I get into the issue let me say I really do like this saw. For the money paid this is a really well made machine. The parts seem to be quality parts. It does not have a cheap feel to it at all.
Everything that allows it to slide and move are precise and well made. Everytime I use it I marvel at how well it is made, again this is based on the fact that I paid well over $100 less than the Dewalt and it came with a laser guide!
I used it all day Saturday and Sunday this past weekend and once I got the laser dialed in it cut right on the money over and over.

Now... for the bad.

When I got the unit right out of the box the laser did not work. I contacted the manufacturer at the support@tacklife.net email address. They responded quickly but based on the broken english I assumed I was not speaking to someone in the US. I explained that the laser was not working, I provided photo's and a video of me attempting to use the laser. The person I spoke too asked me if I had it plugged in properly... the video showed me turning it on and using the saw but the laser not working. Here is where things went even further south... in the second email from support this is what I was told:

Thanks for your reply and video.
Pls take our sincere apology.
Could you pls change a battery and see if the laser can work well?
If it still cannot work, please send us email again.

There is no battery...

Had to take quite a bit of the machine apart to discover it doesn't have a battery. In the attached picture the laser components are mostly installed in the handle. The reason the laser was not working is due to the two alligator clips that attach to the laser switch, the clips loose and came right off with barely a slight tug, using a pair of needle nose pliers I gave the head of the clips a little press and pushed the clips snugly onto the switch prongs... laser came right on. No battery change necessary.

As I stated in the beginning of this review, I really do like this saw, the wild goosechase that support sent me on was a real pain in my caboose which is why I gave them three stars.

Support contacted me and was very helpful in fixing my issue and I believe that due to their willingness to fix a customers problem they deserve a full five stars!
