This Formula 1 Chronograph Watch from TAG Heuer might just withstand a collision on the racetrack. Ideal for any athlete, this watch's masculine stainless-steel band joins to a sturdy 41-millimeter-in-diameter stainless-steel case topped by a sporty titanium carbide coated unidirectional bezel printed with large, silver-tone Arabic numerals in increments of five. Its impressive scratch-resistant sapphire-coated dial window reveals a black dial with silver-tone hour indicators and luminescent silver-tone hands. Three subdials and a discreet date window at the four o'clock add to the appeal. This watch also offers a triple-link stainless steel bracelet, precise Swiss quartz movement, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--which will stand up to the rigors of recreational scuba diving.

The movement is a standard Swiss Eta G10.711 quartz which you can find in other models costing much less but, they're not Tags are they ? They don't have the associated F1 racing history do they ?
Sapphire crystal. Very nice. Clean crisp workmanship on the dial and sub dials. Very accurate.
I switched out the bracelet for the black rubber deployant band at the Tag Heuer outlet near me. Makes it even sportier.
I'll wear it on those summer days when I want to go light and not wear a heavy 50mm.
I bought the black dial which is becoming increasingly harder to find as collectors are apparently realizing that the earlier F1 models, from an aesthetic standpoint we more exciting than their current contemporaries.
Style is up to taste, but I find this a simple casual style watch you can wear with a t-shirt or be formal with a suit.
The two buttons on it are pretty easy to use, one to start/split and the other to stop/reset.
The watch has two main features, one is to tell time, and the other is the chronograph.
For telling time, the big red "second" hand doesn't move and hovers over the 12 o'clock mark. The dial on bottom serves as the second hand and moves continuously.
In Chronograph mode, the top right dial only moves after you stop the stopwatch or to do a split time. It will move to show the time in 1/10. The large red second hand will start to move once you are in chronograph mode and the left dial will move for minutes. I'm not sure, but I assume if you do something for over 30 minutes, then the dial will continually move and reset at 1minute.
Overall - I'm very happy with it. I believe Amazon has the lowest price on the web and they give a 2 year warranty which equals TAGs. Costco has a similar warranty deal as well. The prices are better than ebay, and those guys don't even offer a warranty period. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is it's reliability and service life. For something you pay $750+ for, you expect it to last nearly a lifetime, This will remain to be seen.
I've also noticed when I purchased, the price fluctuates between 729-749 day to day. So if you're patient, just keep on checking to save that extra $20.00
