Cheaper than melanoma surgery

I’m 53 and grew up in Ft Lauderdale. Not a sun worshipper but love having a little color on my skin. I’ve used sunless tanners in the past but never had very good luck. This past February I was diagnosed with stage 1 melanoma on my arm and I started my online research to find the best sunless tanning product on the martlet. I just had a $3000 wide excision surgery, so the way I look at it $33.00 is nothing!! I also purchased Skinerals padded mitt which makes applying this product a piece of cake. A little goes a very long way when applying. It does have a bit of an odor, but I have a very sensitive sense of smell. The smell does go away after showering. It drys super fast so I don’t feel like I’m waiting forever to get dressed and it doesn’t feel sticky after application. It actually makes my skin feel very moisturized. I haven’t seen any discoloration on my ivory bed sheets. Have only been using this for a week so may be updated my review down the road.

Pretty impressed with this product overall! I'd say I have a fair skin tone and this lotion gave me color without making it obvious I used a self tanner! The consistency is thin so you have to be careful when applying, but it spreads so easily ensuring full EVEN coverage. It is also buildable so you can achieve that tan that you're going for. The scent is light and fruity (like citrus) and it is actually quite pleasant compared to the usual self tanner products. Definitely recommend for any fair skinned folks out there! I also have sensitive skin and so far no issues, but I've only applied to my legs as of now...
The photo is a comparison of the under part of my forearm next to my leg. I applied the lotion one time to my legs and they were about the same level of color (maybe even a touch lighter👻 ) than my arm.

I'd read a ton of great reviews, but I'm always a skeptic - but honestly, this tanning lotion is amazing. I've already recommended this to three friends who all equally love it. (We've all bought this while stuck at home in New England during covid-19!) It creates such a natural color. I'm fair skinned in the winter, and this came out amazing (not orange at all). I noticed a tan after my very first use. The color develops instantly, but doesn't look drastic - no one would guess I fake tanned. The texture is super nice and light. It fully absorbs, so there's no oil or residue. I'll put clothes on right away and it's completely fine. No orange or coloring on my clothing, etc. There's hardly any scent. Also, the ingredients are great. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I already have natural olive skin tone. But I am trying to minimize sun expose so I wanted a subtle tanning lotion that would give me a pretty glow. After a lot of research, I tried this one out and I am very happy with it. I am 100% sticking with this. Since I am not pale, I can’t speak for how effective this product is if you are very light skin. But if you are tan, and you are looking for something subtle with a pretty color - this is it.

A few cons: it smells like fake tan. I don’t know why some people are saying that it doesn’t. It’s not a strong smell by any means but it’s definitely there. It stains your hands. Again nothing too bad, but maybe wear gloves or moisturize your hand before use.

( I am extremely fair skinned) I loved this product for the first few weeks I used it. I would apply every other day and I was able to achieve the darkest tan I have ever had. I have been using self tan for a few years and am experienced in the process. I used application mitts and a kabuki brush to even out this lotion. I thought it was wonderful until I realized it stained my skin and was extremely patchy. My skin was stained for A MONTH. I did everything I could to remove it: exfoliating, dry brushing, straight up trying to rub it off. NOTHING. I was mortified. I had this giant patchy stain on my arms for over a month. I returned this item because I have never experienced anything like what this self tanner did to my skin. It also is an extremely runny lotion that honestly is very hard to apply and does not smell well. I am disappointed.

Finally Found a Self Tanner I Love!

I love this product. I bought a mit but have not needed to use it. I followed directions and applied in circular motions and no streaks! I do this very quickly now so I can wash my hands. First application did leave the outer palm of my hands a little stained. It goes on smoothly and soaks in quickly so I apply right before bed and it does not come off on my sheets or my white towels. Another product I used in the past came off on my towels every time I took a shower and it left me with a tacky feeling on my skin. This does not leave me feeling like I need to take a shower to wash it off. I have only used it on my arms and legs for 2 weeks. An application or two Iasts about a week and my husband commented on how tan my legs were after one use. I am going to try some on my face tomorrow, although I do not expect it to last as long since I use a toner every day. Will definitely be buying this again.

Not what I would call a gradual tan !

I bought this after seeing it listed in an article about gradual tan and was drawn to the fact it was described as having a lovely smell and not like the normal fake tan products . I applied with a fake tan mitt ( which I have used in the past for other tans) . It has been well over a year since I have used it . I was immediately struck by the fact that I could smell the normal fake tan smell - and thought it could be the mitt . The instructions explained it took 2 hours to develop . I thought this was strange for a gradual tan - I assumed it was a daily moisturiser tan . I applied after my shower and was also struck by the heavily moisturising nature of the product; I definitely didn’t want to get dressed straight away .
My skin felt quite damp still . I eventually dressed .
Throughout the day I noticed it getting darker and darker - and so I was surprised as I thought that gradual tan was more subtle .
It is the next day and I have just bathed and dried . It is a nice natural looking tan. However - there are a couple of little streaks . I thought I had been careful with my hands , but they are pretty dark . The smell of fake tan has really faded. So that’s good .
My conclusion is that this is a normal tanning product - it does give a nice colour , the smell is not any different to a good quality normal tan product ( it is , it would seem , impossible to have a fake tan product without the fake tan smell - whatever the claims - and to be fair it was the article I read which said it didn’t smell , not the marketing for the product.)
It comes as a tanning milk - so it goes on clear and so this makes it more difficult to assess for patches and streaks . The colour does start to change quite quickly and it is very much full of moisture - which is nice in someways , but not if you want to dress quickly . Having said that , I had a white and blue stripey fitted long sleeve on , and it didn’t transfer any colour at all onto that - so that’s good .
In conclusion - this is a normal tanning product - it’s not one of the daily moisturisers with a bit of gradual tan . It does give a nice colour , but you need to be careful , just like any tanning product !

This kept my winter holiday tan going for months! It's very moisturising , gives a natural colour and you can build up the depth by using it on 2 or 3 consecutive days. It never streaks on me and fades without any patchy areas. I apply it with a tanning mitt and that way you can apply a nice tan over your hands as well.
I haven't found a better gradual tan and I've tried many!

I am no fake tan expert but I have worn enough in my time to know what’s good and what isn’t! I have never used such a awful smelling, streaky and not gradual tan (when advertised as gradual)! I applied exactly as per the instructions and was eventually covered, waited for it to soak in before I put clothes on. The streaks are awful, it isn’t gradual at all (maybe 2 hours) I used the water version of this tan and this was much harsher on the skin. My skin is so streaky I am glad I have no where to go over the next few days, I have tried to wash off and to no avail even with exfoliating. Avoid avoid!

I was so nerverous buying this tan after reading some of the reviews I’ve used a lot of tanning products ( I’m a pale Irish woman ) when I got this the packaging was lovely I got the serum and the lotion I used my mitt to put it on my body you can never go wrong using a mitt and used a tanning brush on my face with the serum and it turned out beautiful ! I’m so glad I found this product I have eczema on my feet and legs so find it so hard to get a tan that looks good on them and this was amazing ! ❤️❤️
