This product is not just a 'plug it in & push a button' and it works item as advertised. It took a few hours of searching the manual (at least it had one) and the internet and several trial and error recordings to get it to work correctly. I had to make some changes in my computer settings to get it to record without static. Once I figured it out, it worked very well. The speakers in the unit are minimal and not very good to listen to tapes, but I didn't buy it for that, I bought it to change my cassettes to MP3's and it works fine for that. Once you get the music in the WAV or MP3 format, it can be put on CDs, DVDs or an MP3 player. You can use Windows Media Player, Itunes or some other software to do that. All in all, this is a very satisfactory product that does, indeed, transfer your cassette tape recordings to your computer.
