I mounted this on a Mossberg Lever action .22 long rifle. All my sighting was done from a bench rest.
I set the target at about 20 feet for initial printing and got good solid groups. I adjusted the windage and elevation and set the target to 50 feet. The windage was spot on with a little bullet drop. made a minor adjustment and was putting 3 shots inside of a dime.
This was where things went bad. I moved the magnification from 3x up to about 4.5X. The shots were still grouping but high and slightly to the left. I turned the magnification up to 9X the group opened up and were going very high and to the left. I checked the mounting screws and the front one was a little loose.
I re-tightened it and started over again, with the exact same results
Next I left the scope at 9X magnification and adjusted the windage and elevation so I was kitting in the bull again. I adjusted the magnification down to about 4.5X and the shots were hitting low and to the right. When I adjusted it down to 3X they went way low and to the right.
When I took the scope off I actually had better consistency with the open sights going for 20 feet out to 50 feet.
