The original Ditto Looper rocked guitarists with a lust for looping like nothing else. Finally something that was simple, made for guitarists and sounded great. What would possibly be better? Well, how about all of that, plus new, next level looping features forged from pure awesome?

My gripes are minor. You have just one memory slot per loop, so, two in total. This means you will have to connect your Ditto to your computer, download and save its contents, and then disconnect it from your computer again, every time you want to lay down a new idea. If they could have given us even 10 memory slots per loop it would have allowed for lots more uninterrupted jamming and creativity before having to connect to the computer. I don't find any of the onboard effects to be very useful. Instead of all the rather silly effects, how about giving us a third looping track? Any further complaints I might make are actually more like feature requests for a future product, so I will leave that out of this review. Suffice it to say, this is a beast of a looping pedal! I did a lot of research across a lot of brands before deciding on this as an upgrade from the X2 and I don't regret it one bit.
Mine just went all green for the second time. Miraculously I was able to recover it the first time. But tonight it is gone. I followed the instructions and a firmware update would seem like the prescribed thing to do. If the stupid pedal would respond. But no. All green. Won't talk to the computer. It's about a year old. Read around. I'm not the only one. Just type "Ditto X4 all green LEDs". This product has been on the market for some time. This is unacceptable. If I had been performing live. I'd have been done. I already talked my friend into not getting one. it's maddening. Get a Boss and you'll be better off I suspect.
I love this pedal when it works, but the problems have been really unfortunate. I'm sending it in for warranty repair and if the repair is successful I will update this review.
