I got them because out here in the desert, if you don't UV block your RV tires, you will be buying tires every single year, even if you don't put a mile on them...the sun is brutal to tires! These are like sunblock for your tires...I've used them before (then again, I've used old T-shirts, too), and they work excellent...but if you are in Louisiana, or Tennessee, or South Carolina, or anywhere else you are going to get 50-70-inches of rain each year with lots of year-round humidity...they will rot in no-time, and doubtful do anything to help preserve your tires...in that case, you need VINYL COVERS. (Here...we are lucky if we get 10-inches of rain a year...during a two-week time period...rot is NOT a problem).
Bottom line: Be aware that tires dry rot because of two things - OZONE and UV in combination. You can't keep Ozone or Oxygen off your tires...so you break the 'dry rot cycle' by blocking the sun. If you are in a dry hot climate and need sun protection...BUY THEM. If you are in a rainy place...take a pass, and look for vinyl (also a good sun-block, but it won't rot like canvas does when wet).
They do not have any snaps, or grommets on the inside. You have to make your own attachment to keep them on the coach.
I intend to sew in a couple of rope loops on the inside of each, so I can put a bungee inside. Since I'm using them out where "The wind goes sweeping across the plain", I need a way to hold them down, otherwise, you fine readers in Kansas will be picking them up.
I sewed some rope loops on each side, If I did it again, I'd measure them out and make it so you could connect them with a 3" d ring, that way you reach in and snap in the D ring, and they are held in place. I'd buy the D rings, and make the ropes the right length , so you set them once and you are done.
