    I have bought several sets of these pads. They are great for polishing out small areas. The best thing about them is that the edges of the pads cover the velcro adapter completely so you will not scratch your finish. For the people complaining about the wool pads shedding that is completely normal when using any type of wool buffing pad and will stop after a while. When someone breaks out a full sized wool pad at the body or detail shop, trust me, everyone in the shop knows it...there are fibers floating everywhere for a while. If you can't deal with it then only use the foam pads.

    I bought to remove deep scratches in the dark paint of a '01 Jeep Cherokee. I found that my cordless drill wasn't powerful enough to push the foam polishing pads, so I used the corded drill with excellent results. The wool pads were used on the alloy wheels and did a remarkable job also. The Velcro hook-and-loop backing and the quality of the pads are very good. For anyone wondering which pad is which;

    Wool Heavy Cutting Pad (Yellow)
    Wool Polishing Pad (Neutral)
    Foam Light Cutting & Polishing Pad (Yellow)
    Foam Finishing Pad (Black)

    Overall, this is a good deal if you only need a few good pads and don't have a rotary polisher.

    The product came as shown in the description. The only issue was it did not come with any instructions that tell the consumer which pad is made for what purpose. However a quick call to TCP Global, and all my questions were answered. I used the pads today to remove some clearcoat scratches from my car and they worked very well. I had previously tried using just a polishing pad by hand with only minimal success. But the pads in this kit, used with my rotary drill worked in less than 5 minutes using only a polishing compound and light pressure. Even some of the deeper scratches came out with a bit more pressure. Once I re-waxed the areas I worked on, I could no longer even find the scratches in bright sunlight.

    The product is fine, however it did not come with one of the parts listed: "with 5/8" Inch Thread for Rotary DA Pneumatic Adaptor-5/8 NO. 11 Thread to 5/16 No. 24 Thread." This is required to mount the backing plate to a Porter Cable random orbital. It did come with a solid shaft adapter that you can use with a drill chuck, but it is not what I wanted to do with this product. I emailed the company asking them to help me rectify the issue, and have not yet received a response. I see others have run into the same problem. I guess I'll just have to buy one separately. Too bad that a company selling good products at a good price has zero customer service responsiveness.

    These work well, but make sure you de-shed the white and yellow pads before using. They shed a ton of fibers with their first use, which is going to get all of your work. I just put my drill on low speed and lightly pressed the pad against my hand, with my fingers on the edges of the pad. It worked well to get all of the loosed fibers off. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    I used the pads to buff and polish a diamondplate pinball playfield. Worked great when using with Novus 2 and followed up with carnauba car wax.
