Product Description

Product Description

Simple in form and function, the medium-duty TEKTON 16 oz. Wood Handle Claw Hammer is perfect for common home projects, light remodeling, basic repair jobs, and hobbies. The natural grain of the comfortably contoured, classic hardwood handle has a vibration-damping effect to take the sting out of each swing. An epoxy bond permanently locks the forged and hardened steel head onto the handle. With sharpened chisel ends, the curved claw slides under nail heads and uses its rounded shape to generate pulling leverage.

I am a framer by trade and use a 22 ounce steel hammer for that. Bought this hammer for my son and have found me using it more than him. Love the way it feels and balanced really good. Can't beat the price either. Someone said it was easily broken. Don't know what they were doing with it, but this handle is made of Hickory, VERY hard to break, he must have missed the class on hammers and how to use them

My, my, my Tekton 3030 hammer hits so hard
The Tekton 3020, "Oh, my Lord"
Thank you for blessing me
With a hammer like this with dual claw feet
It feels good, when you know you're down
A hammer with a handle from the old Oak town
And it's known as such
The Tekton 3020 is a hammer, uh, you can't touch
You can't touch this, you can't touch this
Break it down
Stop, Tekton 3020 Hammer time
Go with the funk, it is said
If you can't hammer with a Tekton 3020
Then you probably are dead
So wave, that hammer in the air
Bust a few moves
Hit some nails like you care
This is it, for a winner
Buy a Tekton 3020 and you're gonna (word rhyming with winner)
Move, slide your rump
Just for a minute let's all do the thump, thump, thump, thump, thump (doh!!!!)
Yeah
Hit that nail
Look, man
I said hit that nail (doh!!!!!)
You better get hype, boy
Because you know you can't
You can't touch this
Ring the bell, yeah, with the Tekton 3020
Break it down
Stop, Tekton 3020 Hammer time
Every time you see it
This Hammer's just so hype
It's dope on a board but it's magic on formica
Now why would I ever stop doing this?
With others using hammers that just don't hit
I've toured around the world, for a better hammer to this day
But it's Tekton 3020 Hammer, go Hammer, Tekton 3020 Hammer, yo, Hammer"
And the rest can go and say
You can't touch this (hammer)

this is exactly what i wanted..it had no markings on either side of the wood...and it is a mid-size hammer for serious use...not too small in other words. I am wood burning the handle for a carpenter friend of mine's birthday..i didn't want it to have a pressed label on it on the wood part and it does not...very nice...thanks!!

Really well made hammer. I bought this along with a soldering iron and then we wrote a message to my father in law from my husband. This brought him to tears on Christmas day. It was a great gift. You can buy these already made but if you make it yourself, you save on costs and it's customer made by you. What better way to say I appreciate and love you dad.

A nice light hammer! I would not recommend it for heavy jobs. But, for light, household use....A decent, light hammer, at a reasonable price. If I were you, I would not hit anything too hard....You might break off the head!

I hate writing the one bad review but, here it is..... I liked it fine when it first got here. Cheap was good and I needed a claw for pulling nails as my framing hammer is a rip claw. I used the heck out of it all day. ONE day. The head is loose now and the strike face has scores of little dings from striking my cats paw to dig out the more stubborn nails. The handle is a little too thin for the sure grip a carpenter wants 20 feet in the air on a rickety extension ladder. It's a fine $7 hammer for a homeowner to have around the house to nail picture frames and tap things into place etc. etc. Will not stand up to the rigors of professional use. ONE DAY! I should give it three stars because I asked too much of it for what it is but, this review is not for the casual user but for the pro who is wondering if they can cheap out here, don't do it.

It broke not long after a bought it. One missed swing and the wood snapped at the top. For what it's worth, I bought a composite one next and it also cracked when I was pulling on a nail. I guess I'm just an abusive hammer owner.

Good weight to it and the handle is finished nicely. My only complaint is that the metal head wobbles on the wooden handle. It's not secured on well and I'm sure after a while of using it it's going to fly off one day.
