I'm keeping this set in my pistol case for use with my P938. The 3/32 has already come in handy when reinstalling the safety detent plunger that separated/shot out of the firearm frame when I mindlessly exposed it by over-rotating the safety lever after I had disassembled my p938 to clean it. Believe me, I tried dozens of times using a dozen different methods to try to recapture the spring and plunger behind the safety lever with its detents. Every attempt ended with the spring energized plunger shooting out while I tried to keep it depressed AND rotate the safety lever back over it. Finally, after irretrievably losing the tiny little plunger when it escaped across the room, I had to wait until I received a replacement plunger and had purchased and received these cupped-tip (concave tipped) punches to reattempt the reassembly. Thankfully, with the help of the 3/32 punch I was able to depress the plunger, compressing the spring, and rotate the safety lever back over them, allowing the safety lever to push the punch out of the way in a process that worked smoothly and flawlessly on the first try. Thank You, Jesus! :) ...and thank you, Tekton and Amazon!!!
With this nicely finished set of precision milled punches, when I go to polish my trigger components on that same firearm, I will be able to use the 2/32 (1/16) cupped punch from the right side of the frame to push and free the trigger pin from its taper-captured hole in that side of the frame. As I understand it, once the rounded head of the pin clears that "tight" hole on the right side of the frame, it will easily push on through the looser hole on the left side of the firearm frame. But that's a job for another time.
Anyway, hope this give you an understanding of how this very nice set of economically priced "nailset" punches can prove to be a real asset in your firearm maintenance arsenal... forgive the pun. Blessings! :)
