The one advantage to these is they have small rubber sleeves on the handle which is much more comfortable than square metal.
The most usable file of the bunch is the round one, of which I was given three, all of which look different and have different flaws than each other
My overall recommendation is if you will likely only use these once, go for it. But, if you are looking for something you will use regularly I would suggest buying an individual file of better quality for what you need to do.
This item, however, is pure junk. Tekton should stop using this supplier or discontinue this item as it will only diminish the work they are doing around their brand.
The Amazon photo description shows you get 8 different files (some multiples). The actual packaging on the back says you get 10 different file types. I got 7 in mine. Additionally, the quality is horrid. Some of the files are not fully cut and many were bent upon arrival. The handles weren't consistent either. They were loaded in oil, presumably to keep the cheap metal from rusting. This will need to be removed before working with wood. I don't say this often - but if you have a local "by the sea" "another word for shipping packages" I would highly recommend buying theirs - for less, too.
While I'm giving 5 stars, I don't see these as a perfect product. There was what appeared to be a bit of grease or oil left on quite a few of the files when they were in the pouch. This was easily removed. Even though they're made of softer metal, they look like they will last a while with use only on plastics and wood.
A must for anyone who does 3D printing.
-The rubber sleeve on the end is nice for hand and finger comfort. Gives good grip too with sweat and oils
-The multiple blades you get in the set allows you to have a wide variety of options for a low central price
-The teeth are strong and able to get a good bite into the material to file off whatever you need.
-The package sleeve that they came in is garbage, I tossed that right out as soon as I got them. It would do better with a thick cloth sleeve or a plastic case, not a plastic sleeve.
-The fit and finish on the files is not the best, some teeth are dug deeper and some lightly etched, some sides of the multi-faced files work better than the others.
Almost gave this 3 stars b/c they were still coated in oil when I received them. I didn't expect stellar quality, but I did expect them to be clean. My bad for not reading more of the reviews more thoroughly.

What I don't like is that they lost their bite far too soon working with mild steel, think cleaning up metal project boxes after making holes for panel meters, that's not exactly titanium. It wasn't to the files having material piled up on them, the steel used just isn't hard enough.
They are well priced so it's not a great loss but I would easily spend a few extra bucks to get files that last longer. It's like most tools, buy cheap get junk.
What actually arrived in the packaging?
1 Oval - pressed into an oval shape at the top, the bottom half of the file is round.
2 Knife - both have a uniform cut on one side, but differ on the other side.
2 Three-square - one file has a face on which half the second cut is missing along the long axis
I guess that it's not surprising for a set under $10.
I like different type of files in the package, so I bought it. But, when I started using these files on wood, I noticed that they are made of low quality materials. One of the needles tip just broke in the first time use.By now, I have two needles with broken tips and one with deformed handle Won't buy this again.
