1) I placed it in my server rack thinking that the screws would be sufficient to hold it in place. I grossly underestimated. It's hanging at a 45 degree angle. So I figured I'd check out their website for their rail accessories. $500! Heck no!
2) I also had a heck of a time mapping a drive on Win10. Turns out that it defaults at SMB1 while Win10 requires at least SMB2. It took me about an hour of troubleshooting to sort that out.
3) It's Linux based, but I can't install Linux programs such as Code42 for Crash plan. Makes no sense. The list of available apps is pathetically small and useless.
4) I'm using the 10Gbe and it's connected to my Netgear 10G switch and the MTU is set to 9000 but the most I can get is about 2.5G. I would like to iperf it somehow to know for sure.
Anyway, save your money. Get a Synology.
