Captain Tom Prescott and the crew of TFS Fugitive, joined by allies both old and new, must reach Pelara and take the fight to the Alliance AI at the very center of its power. While in the Sol system, Admirals Patterson and Naftur fight a seemingly hopeless battle to save both Earth and Graca from certain destruction.

This is my favorite in the series

Love the action packed pace of the whole series, and TFS Guardian did not take its foot off the gas. I will definitely have to re-read the series at some point because there is a lot of detail on the pages I think I glossed over reading frenetically to know what happens next.

I think this book is my favorite in the series, for one simple reason... Rick. Not going to spoil anything, but this character brought a lot of humor to the story. In the previous books there were moments of levity sandwiched between dire events, but those moments are a lot more prevelant in book 5 thanks to Rick (and Miguel). Love the optimism of the author in making an advanced, hyper intelligent (almost omniscent) character come with a sense of humor. It wasn't expected, but I think worked really well. These characters also offered a unique perspective on things.

What a way to close a fantastic series of books. Guardian was not a disappointment on any level. The characters we have come to enjoy finished their service with honors. The writing was superb with some great explanations for the conspiracy theorists. Too short but a master story teller leaves them wanting more. Loved Rick, I think he was a character that the readers will like; he brought a lot of humor to the story. I for one am looking forward to reading more, Tori has given us hope with the last section of this book.

A fantastic close to a surprisingly good series. I stumbled onto this series about a year ago and was immediately hooked. Harris delivers a fresh take on First Contact and intra-galactic polities and diplomacy. Tight pacing and well-rounded characters make the creative and entertaining plot all the better. This is easily among the best new mil-scifi that I have read. If you enjoy Dalzelle, Douglas, Kennedy, or Ringo you will enjoy this. I plan on getting copies in dead-tree format ASAP, which I save only for the best stories I read. Give this series a try, you will not be dissaponted.

Well, I like it. The entire series. Well told story, nice characters with a good balance of story, characters, dialogue, science and action. But.... and that's my only problem, it's like they are on an endless winning streak... everything always comes out right and the good guys always prevail, especially when the bad aliens are bad, so they're winning morally, as a bonus.
