At first this looked “gimmicky” but I saw a need for something like this. I use vacuum bags to freeze my meat and with our schedules thawing out our meal for that evening often includes placing the frozen block in water to thaw in a reasonable time. Without this item I was left to put a heavy pot or iron skillet on top to keep it in submerged to speed the thawing process. This device with its suction base and spread design keeps the food item under its “fingers” to allow the thawing process to complete in less than half the time by just laying it in the water. And before you naysayers object, “that’s not safe the temperature will rise too much and promote bacteria growth.” I have ServSafe certs I know my time & temp levels and those are in no way even close to approaching the danger zone unless you leave it for hours before cooking. I recommend this item for anyone but especially anyone that has time constraints for evening dinner prep or any other time for that matter.

LOL This thing has been a life saver. I often forget to pull out frozen meat to thaw for dinner and have to quick thaw in hot water in the sink. Before I'd stack a pot full of water on top to hold it fully submerged. This little gadget suctions to the bottom of the sink and does exactly what it's advertised to do. We use it quite often in my house. I definitely buy this again and recommend it to everyone.

My wife bought this for me for my birthday. What can I say I thought it was a little silly and a gimmick, but it works awesome to slowly de-frost meat from the freezer to get ready to throw on the grill. The suction cup is strong and holds the meat under the water like it is intended to do. I do wish the three prongs were a little longer for when we have a greater amount of meat to defrost, but it works well as it was intended to do.

I love this little gadget. I no longer have those "but nothing is thawed out 😥" moments. Sometimes really frozen items can take longer than the instructions state but a couple hours beats a couple days in my book especially if it's more than one pack which brings me to only critique. The close itself should have a way to be lowered it raised and locked in place. I tend to have to fill my entire sink up with water when a licking mechanism would allow me to use a fraction of that. Overall, I'll be using this often for a long time. I recommend this product.

Tip: Thaw multiple packs one at a time or expect to flip the packages otherwise your meat will be thawed on the outside but frozen where the two packs touch.

Wow! I saw this on facebook and decided to purchase it. It's really amazing! Slice a frozen package of ground beef or chicken under the "claw" and in no time the food is thawed. I've used this on chicken breasts, frozen salmon, and ground beef and while I am preparing the other ingredients I've left this in the sink with just enough cold water to cover the claw and my meat is ready. You will not be disappointed!

I adore my Thaw Claw! I'm a carnivore and eat mainly meat, so this is on constant replay in my home pretty much daily.

I can pull out ground beef, steak, sausage, fish, etc. at the last minute and have it thawed 3 times faster. I've forgotten about dinner, pulled out the Thaw claw and had my fish thawed in 10-15 minutes and ready to cook.

My only con: I wish it was bigger for bigger cuts of meat...or I just need to get another Claw.

If you like your meat to thaw safely without using the microwave (changing the molecular structure and nutrition of your food), this is for you.
