THEIR LOST DAUGHTERS a gripping crime thriller with a huge twist (JACKMAN & EVANS Book 2) Kindle Edition
About the Author
Joy Ellis was born in Kent, England but spent most of her working life in London and Surrey. She was an apprentice florist to Constance Spry Ltd, a prestigious Mayfair shop that throughout the Sixties and Seventies teemed with both royalty and ‘real’ celebrities. What an eye-opener for a working-class kid from the Garden of England! She swore then, probably whilst she was scrubbing the floor or making the tea, that she would have a shop of her own one day. It took until the early Eighties, but she did it. Sadly the recession wiped her out, and she embarked on a series of weird and wonderful jobs; the last one being a bookshop manager. Surrounded by books all day, getting to order whatever you liked, and being paid for it! Oh bliss!
And now she live in a village in the Lincolnshire Fens with her partner, Jacqueline, and our three second generation Springer spaniels. Her partner is a highly decorated retired police officer, and her harshest critic when it comes to police and judicial procedure. Joy has set her crime thrillers in the misty fens because she love the remoteness and airy beauty of the marshlands. This area is steeped in superstitions and lends itself so well to murder!

KUDOS TO KENDRA!!!! 🙌 👍 AND the team behind her that helped save her! Although KENDRA appeared to be in in the background all throughout the book, in reality KENDRA really was in the foreground all along the way!I
Besides the different times we meet her mother and know of her daughter missing back when and wanting KENDRA found once and for all, PLEASE!
Great characters also!
Because I am a mother myself, both these novels subjects about missing and dead adolescents gripped me.I am American,so the British setting wasn't familiar, but it doesn't matter over all to the plot.Without giving away any spoilers, just read this author's masterfully well -written stories.I was unable to put this one down. She was right, really great twist at the end!

I never guessed the ending at all. I just love these characters and can't wait to read more about DI Jackson and his sidekick Marie. A brilliant read
It was great following the team as they slowly untangled the web and tried to keep their promise to Mrs Black while dealing with some really unpleasant types not to mention the rotten apple in the barrel.
I still don't understand the significance of wrong shoes and Wednesday, perhaps it will come to me sonetime.
Fantastic book though, well worth your time reading it
