"There were a lot of great things about this book, its honesty, the character growth, the love--and the sex, yet overall, I really liked that the characters were able to remind me of myself, my friends, and parts of college I forgot about." ~5-star review

"I have to admit that I am not an avid romance reader because what some may like in "unrealistic" meet cutes, billionaire bachelors, and pregnancy romances, those tropes are huge aversions for me &my tastes. Which is probably why I loved this book so much. I felt as if I was watching a couple meet and have real-life issues while trying to build a relationship." ~5-star review
"This book leaves you wanting more! It was a short and quick but good read. Sexy, steamy, and sultry!" ~5-star review
"Love this book such a great story I can't wait until the squeal comes out!!!!!" ~5-star review

This was an interesting listen for me. At the beginning I found Teddy a totally unsympathetic character, she seemed cold and indifferent to all who come into contact with her, I’m not sure why either man is enamored with Teddy. And I found the constant use of drugs problematic, especially given Teddy’s condition.
As a reader, I enjoy stories where the characters are less than perfect, I find it makes the story believable and feels more realistic. The problem I have with this story? Teddy’s feeling and emotions don’t translate well to the written page, so I felt no connection to her character.
About halfway through this audiobook, It seemed author GL Tomas, finally fleshed out Teddy’s character and I found the second half of this audiobook more enjoyable. And by the end, I was anxious to hear what would happen next. This 4 ½ hour audiobook has the dreaded cliffhanger, but I’m intrigued enough to put the next installment on my watch list.
The audiobook has dual narration by Aundrea Mitchell and Logan McAllister and both did a good job in this well-produced audiobook. The one issue I had? Reggie’s character, he was voiced different depending on whether Aundrea or Logan voiced him. Now of course, when you have two different sexes voicing the same character, there are bound to be differences. But, the differences were not only in the depth of Reggie’s voice but also the tone, Aundrea made him sound wimpy and whiny and Logan made him sound gruff and aloof. I found the change distracting.
That being said, I enjoyed both Aundrea Mitchell and Logan McAllister’s readings and I would definitely listen to another audiobook by either narrator!
This audiobook was gifted to me exchange for an unbiased review!
I did find the writing well done even though I didnt like the direction - I think these authors have a lot of potential and would be interested in reading another story of theirs.
This story was just not for me - I love suspense, angst, mystery....the proverbial sex, drugs, and rock'n'roll - but this story did not resonate with me at all.
Some drug use. Frank sexual discussions. Enjoyable read.
