The TIE-FAST Knot Tier is the ultimate “nail” knot tool. Made of one piece stainless steel, this tool enables anglers to tie secure knots in a matter of seconds. The TIE-FAST Knot Tier is praised by fishing experts for it’s simplicity and for the strength of it’s knots. It can be used to tie a number of different varieties of the “nail” knot. Unlike other knots that have only one turn holding their ends, the “nail” knot cannot become untied because the tag end of the line is secured by all turns of the knot.

This is the regular sized TFKT and comes with complete instructions. Magnum Siver refers to the color, not the size. We also carry a magnum sized TFKT for saltwater fisherman.

If you are looking for the 6.5 inch size for tuna fishing, make sure you are ordering the Magnum model.

Also you’re tying the knot about 3” from the fly so you don’t get wiggle legs and other hackle caught up in the knot. After the knot is complete you draw the knot down to the hook eye. I guess you use a little more line in making these knots but monofilament is cheap. Fishing time isn’t.
San Diego jam is a great knot for quick change. Or just the good old fashion Palomar. Check out animated knots dot com.
The concept is there. Someone is trying. Final analysis. It isn’t worth it
The only way to make knots easy; patient and practice

First off the concept is awesome, This is by far the best idea and tool I've ever used for tying a quick nail knot, fishers in general and specifically fly fishers will make use of this constantly on any fishing trip. I believe that the history of the product is that the idea had come from a small company and now has been bought or licensed by 3M.
Now for the reason for the 3 Stars, it seems to be made of softer metal than it should be as mine was a little bit bent when it arrived. It still works well so i didn't think that sending it back was worthwhile but something to be aware of, maybe my mailperson was a little too rough, but it is what it is.
For what it does it gets 5 stars, for the actual knot tyer I got and the bend i have to give it 3.
Excellent tool though and saves an immense amount of time and frustration tying on hooks and splicing line.
It is made of a piece of metal that is basically cut out of a sheet of aluminum and then folded in half. The one I received wasn't properly folded so not exactly well aligned or symmetrical.
